As our university community is gearing up for our mid-semester rest and Spring Break, our center hours will be amended in reflection of this.

Student Organization Awards

commonvision is UMBC's Design and Print Center, located in The Commons, Room 309. We are a full service print shop as well as a design and animation studio. Our Social Media Content Creator is responsible for scheduling social media posts, brainstorming campaign ideas, tracking social media analytics, and attending events to capture photos and videos for Stories and Live content.

commonvision is looking for students who are comfortable working with:

• Social media

• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Creative Cloud Express

• Social media scheduling

• Content creation across social platforms

Bonus Points if:

• You have experience with other Adobe products

• You have UMBC spirit!

Your personality is along the lines of:

• Self-motivated

• Team-oriented

• Attentive to details

• Manages time and deadlines well

Non-negotiables:

• Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

• Must pass a judicial and OEI check

• Must have at least 2 on-campus semesters left

• Must be able to work at least 10 hours a week

• Be an undergraduate student

ANIMATOR & MOTION DESIGNER

commonvision is looking for students who are comfortable working in:

• After Effects CC+

• Illustrator CC+

• Photoshop CC+

Bonus Points If:

• You have experience with Premiere CC+

• You have experience with Maxon Cinema 4D

• You have an interest in or have basic graphic design principles

• You have an interest in or have experience in video/film

• You have an interest or experience with sound editing

• You have an interest or experience in photography

Your personality is along the lines of:

• Self-motivated

• Team-oriented

• Attentive to details

• Manages time and deadlines well

• You really freaking love animation/motion design

Non-negotiables:

• Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

• Must pass a judicial and OEI check

• Must have at least 2 on-campus semesters left

• Must be able to work at least 15 hours a week

• Be an undergraduate student

There is no required level of animation class you must have taken to be considered--just show us your work! This is an on-campus job that works with your class schedule.
