    <div class="html-content">Primary duties will include preparing IRS forms 5471, 8865, 926, 8858, 5713 and related supporting schedules. Duties will also include calculating earnings and profits and analyzing financial statements for Lockheed Martin's foreign subsidiaries and reviewing boycott reports. Secondary duties will include assisting international tax staff with computing the corporation's foreign tax credit and extraterritorial exclusion benefits for the federal return.  Assist with E data filing as needed and related supporting schedules.     Foundation is a private charitable organization dedicated to helping 
    build better futures for disadvantaged children in the United States. 
    The primary mission of the Foundation is to foster public policies, 
    human service reforms, and community supports that more effectively meet
     the needs of today’s vulnerable children and families. The Foundation 
    distributes approximately $150 million annually in grants to 
    organizations that help states, cities, and neighborhoods improve the 
    life outcomes of these children and families.<br><br><strong><em><u>Job Summary:</u></em></strong> 
    <p>To further its mission and to bolster its commitment to children and 
    families, Casey offers time-limited internships to college and graduate 
    students interested in pursuing careers in philanthropy, human services,
     public policy or related field. The primary purpose is to enhance the 
    educational development with entry-level experience in the role of 
    philanthropy.</p>
    <p>The Human Resources Intern reports directly to the 
    Director/HR-Grantmaking. The Director is a management level position and
     is responsible for all the administration of HR policies and 
    procedures.  Additionally, the Director is also responsible for 
    encouraging and supporting a work environment that exemplifies the 
    mission and values of the Foundation in a fair and equitable manner.</p>
    <p>The Foundation is currently seeking an Intern to work 24 hours per 
    week in a non-exempt paid position.  This internship will give a student
     the opportunity to learn and grow while applying classroom theory to 
    the workplace.</p><h3>Position Responsibilities</h3>

    <p>The Human Resources Intern’s work will be challenging and diverse in 
    the tasks and responsibilities assigned. The selected intern will be 
    given specific projects with designated timeframes to meet and produce 
    deliverables that are important to the department’s success. These 
    projects are:</p>
    <ul><li><em>Paid Time Off</em>: research paid time off (PTO) plans at other 
    Foundations and non-profits organizations. Develop options for a plan 
    for the Foundation based on findings.<br></li><li><em>Scanning HR files</em>: take existing paper hr files and scan to electronic files.<br></li><li><em>Position Descriptions</em>: Assist the HR Director with the 
    position description project. Identify positions that do not have a 
    position description. Identify positions that have an outdated position 
    description.  Assist in redesign of the format.<br></li><li><em>Organizational Charts</em>: Develop organizational charts for 
    each unit in grant making. Devise a plan how to circulate to new 
    employees and existing staff.</li></ul>

    <p>The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg
    Foundation is seeking approximately <strong>three</strong> full-time, paid, summer 2012
    interns.  Candidates should be enrolled in or completing a graduate level
    program and have an overall GPA of at least a 3.0. </p>
    
    <p><strong>Intern (2)</strong></p>
    
    <p><strong>Program/Grants Support</strong></p>
    
    <p>The internship will provide students with relevant and
    constructive work experience in a philanthropic setting.  Interns will be
    given the opportunity to explore the field of philanthropy within a dynamic and
    active setting.  In doing so, the intern will be expected to analyze and
    synthesize information and create reports for review and decision making at the
    Foundation. The internship will expose the student to all five areas of
    grantmaking, including our Maryland Small Grants program. The individual should
    have excellent writing and verbal skills and a strong interest in best practice
    research and program evaluation.</p>
    
    
    
    <p>Interns must be able to commute
    to our Owings Mills office where parking is available and provided.  A
    minimum of 37 hours per week is expected for summer interns.   This
    is a paid position with availability in to begin May or June.  There will
    be a possibility of extending the internship beyond the summer based on needs

<Title>Paid Summer Research at Johns Hopkins University</Title>

    <div class="html-content">The Division of Brain Injuries Outcomes (BIOS) will be offering paid internship positions for qualified undergraduate students for the summer of 2012, starting in May 2012 through August 2012.  The job will involve working in the Reading Center (central lab responsible for the organization and analysis of CT [computed tomography], MR [magnetic resonance], and XA [cerebral angiography] neuroimaging studies for the CLEAR III and MISTIE-ICES clinical trials).<br><br>The CLEAR III and MSITIE-ICES clinical trials are NIH funded multi-center clinical trials to evaluate cutting-edge techniques for treating intracranial brain hemorrhage.  Intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) and Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) comprise a group of spontaneous stroke with the highest associated mortality, and poorest prognosis.  The aim of the CLEAR III and MISTIE-ICES studies is to explore more aggressive treatment strategies, including the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques in conjunction with low dose thrombolytics (rt-PA) to accelerate ventricular and cerebral blood clot resolution to reduce mortality and improve functional outcomes in patients with spontaneous hemorrhagic stroke.  <br><br>Eligible candidates will have completed at least one year of undergraduate/bachelor’s study with intent to pursue a career in medicine, bioengineering, public health, biologic science, nursing, or other related health care field.  (Other studies may also be appropriate, and will be considered on an individual basis.)<br><br>Daily activities will include the organization of CT scans for analysis, tracking site queries for quality assurance, generating simple reports related image analysis, and preparation of presentations for weekly reporting of tasks.  Students will investigate a research question and present their findings at the end of the internship. <Title>Intern in Any MD Nonprofit and Get Paid for It This Summer</Title>

    <div class="html-content">The Maryland Nonprofit Leadership Program offers paid summer
    internship opportunities in the nonprofit sector to college juniors, seniors,
    and graduate students attending Maryland
    institutions.  Participating interns work for ten weeks full-time from
    June 4th to August 10th while participating in bi-weekly seminars in nonprofit
    management.  Each participating student receives a $3,000 stipend.<br><br>
    
    <p><strong>INTERNSHIP BENEFITS</strong></p>
    
    <p>College and university undergraduate and graduate students
    from various majors are provided with an opportunity to build valuable skills,
    explore career choices within the nonprofit sector and gain experience managing
    and leading public service organizations. In doing so, the Maryland Nonprofit
    Leadership Program makes an important contribution to the development of the
    state’s current and future workforce and citizenry.</p>
    
    
    
    <p><strong>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS</strong></p>
    
    <ul><li>Eligible
         applicants must be graduate or undergraduate students attending a two- or
         four- year college or university in Maryland
         with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.  In addition, all undergraduate
         applicants must be entering their junior or senior year during the Fall
         2012 semester. </li><li>Candidates
         must intern full-time for 10 weeks from June 4 to August 10, 2012. </li><li>Interns
         must be willing to travel to the Baltimore
         area as necessary during the ten weeks of the program to attend four to
         five professional development seminars conducted by the Maryland
         Association of Nonprofit Organizations.  </li><li>Special
         consideration for admittance into the program will be given to applicants
         who have secured a summer internship in a Maryland non-profit at the time of
         application.  However, assistance will be given to students without a
         placement once they are admitted into the Maryland Nonprofit Leadership
         Program. </li></ul>
