<Title>Awesome REU for Creativity and Game Design</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><p>The Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT) offers a 10-week summer research program for undergraduates in interactive virtual experiences. A multidisciplinary research institute affiliated with the University of Southern California, the ICT was established in 1999 to combine leading academic researchers in computing with the creative talents of Hollywood and the video game industry. Having grown to encompass a total of 170 faculty, staff, and students in a diverse array of fields, the ICT represents a unique interdisciplinary community brought together with a core unifying mission: advancing the state-of-the-art for creating virtual experiences so compelling that people will react as if they were real.</p><p>Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of ICT research, we welcome applications from students in computer science, as well as many other fields, such as psychology, art/animation, interactive media, linguistics, and communications. Undergraduates will join a team of students, research staff, and faculty in one of several labs focusing on different aspects of interactive virtual experiences. In addition to participating in seminars and social events, students will also prepare a final written report and present their projects to the rest of the institute at the end of summer research fair.</p><p>This Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) site is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.     Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Shares on Economically Disadvantaged
    Populations at the Franciscan Center</strong></p>
    
    
    
    <p>The Franciscan Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated
    to <span>providing emergency assistance and
    supportive outreach to persons who are economically disadvantaged in an effort
    to assist them in realizing their self-worth and dignity as people of God. </span></p>
    
    
    
    <p><span>The Franciscan
    Center is looking for a volunteer intern to assist with a CSA project </span>in
    collaboration with the United Way of Central Maryland, University of Maryland
    Extension, and JHU’s Center for a Livable Future that focuses on the
    correlation between economically disadvantaged people and their desire for a
    healthier lifestyle. The intern will interview, track, and instruct participants
    who receive weekly CSA “shares” of fresh produce throughout the duration of the
    growing season (May through November 2013). The intern will provide
    administrative assistance to the Project Coordinator. Through weekly
    questionnaires, the student will collect data and measure the progress of every
    participant. <br></p><p>This internship requires a commitment of six to ten hours per week
    beginning in May and continuing through the summer semester with the
    possibility of extending through the fall semester. Interest in social services

    <div class="html-content"><p><span>The MDCCC AmeriCorps VISTA for Cherry Hill Projects at Towson University supports academic and health programs for students and residents of <a href="http://www.towson.edu/tuinthecommunity/cherryHill.aspx" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Cherry Hill</a>, an underserved community in Baltimore City. <Title>Office of the State's Attorney for Balto. City Seeks Interns</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><strong>Position Description: </strong>The students would be assigned to our victim/witness waiting room, providing services to victims and witnesses in Baltimore City Juvenile Court delinquency cases. The students would be signing in victims and witnesses who have been summoned to court. The students would also be sending letters to victims and witnesses for future court dates. They could do court accompaniment if a victim wanted someone to sit with him or her in court. The students would have the opportunity to go into court and listen to cases being prosecuted. Required Credentials: The students would have to pass a criminal background check. This is required for all employees and volunteers. <br><br>The Office of the State's Attorney will begin accepting applications for Summer 2013 internships/externships for both law students and undergraduates between<br>February 4, 2013, and March 29, 2013. Application requirements will be posted on February 1, 2013. We anticipate openings for 10 undergraduate interns and 16 law school interns.<br><br>The Office does not offer any paid internships. Summer interns must commit to volunteer at least 20 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.     </span><strong>What is it: </strong>Google’s<a href="http://www.google.com/intl/en/jobs/students/proscho/programs/uscanada/cssi/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"> Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI)</a> <span>will include an interactive and collaborative computer science curriculum, as well as a unique residential experience in which students can build a network with other attendees. They will meet alumni from their schools and other Google engineers while immersing themselves in daily life at Google. Students will also enjoy technical talks by Googlers, lectures by guests from across the technology industry, and social activities in the surrounding areas. We are looking for students eager to spend a few weeks living the Google life – tackling interesting technical problems, working collaboratively and having fun. We want students to leave empowered, heading into their first year of college armed with a unique learning experience that can only be had at Google.</span><span><br>
    </span><span><strong>When is it:</strong></span><span><br>
    </span><span>Session 1 will take place in Mountain View, California from June 23 - July 13, 2013.</span><span><br>
    </span><span>Session 2 will take place in Cambridge, Massachusetts from July 21 - August 9, 2013.</span><span><br>
