Intelligence
Good morning and happy Monday everyone! Today we are going to discuss intelligence!
An outline for todays presentation:
{Firstly, we will look at what Intelligence is, and how AI sheds light on what we humans call intelligence.
We will explore whether intelligence is something static, and whether it is just one trait, or many we arbitrarily group together. (I will argue the second).
I feel looking at AI helps clarify things a lot that are often murky to talk about.
Finally we will discuss the Chinese room problem, questioning whether consciousness is something separate from intelligence, or just one type of many intelligences we have.}
The central question is: What is Intelligence, and does AI have intelligence?
All will take place today; in PAHB 229 from 4-5 pm.

Todays Meeting
Good morning and happy Monday everyone!
Todays meeting will be about music. We will ask questions about how we define and categorize music and its various aspects.
Some guiding questions include:
What is music?
How do we know when something is music?
When does something start/stop being music?
Is music a natural phenomenon or something constructed?
Where can music be found?
What influence does intention have on our perception of music?
Why does music even influence us at all?

Good morning everyone,
Today we have got a really great topic outlined!
Outline for todays discussion:
Start with main question:
Is immortality desirable?
First exercise (around 5-10 minutes):
What is a sandwich?
Is a sub a sandwich?
Is a hot dog a sandwich?
(More questions based on answers)
Used to emphasize the importance of definitions and being exact
Second exercise (rest of the meeting):
Is immortality desirable?
Does the answer change based on whether it is just you or everyone gets to be immortal?
Does the answer change if it isn't immortality, but extended life, say 200 years, 350 years, 500 years, etc.?
Is it responsible to bring children into a world of immortal people?
Does immortality imply invulnerability, or does it mean only being able to die by unnatural means (i.e no viruses/disease/ other stuff, but can still be murdered)?
Does immortality imply eternal youth?
(basically sprinkle these questions in depending on where the conversation goes)

Identity is interesting. As humans we constantly define ourselves and others based off a series of labels. What does it take to for a series of traits to become an identity (or a part of one)? What does our own identities mean for us?

Today, we will be discussing the various manifestations of anger and how anger has changed or remained the same throughout history.
In doing so, we will consider what influences anger. These factors include but are not limited to: personal and institutional social situations, political structures, short and long term circumstances, and power dynamics.
We will also discuss how anger stems from and morphs into other emotions, and how anger is felt and acted upon differently depending on the factors mentioned above.
