Reslife students be sure to get your flu shot!
University Health Services is providing flu shots for
students, staff and faculty on Thursday, September 24, and Friday,
September 25.
The cost of the flu shot is $20.00. Payment can
be made by cash, check, UMBC campus card, or billed to your insurance. UHS will
provide the vaccines until supplies run out. Please bring your UMBC red ID
campus card.
Details on Flu Shot Clinics:
Thursday Sept. 24, 12 noon - 6 pm - The Commons Main Street
Friday Sept. 25, 10 am - 2 pm - The Commons Main Street
If you cannot make it to the clinic days, you are welcome to come to University
Health Services to receive your flu shot. University Health Services is
open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and located on the ground floor of
Erickson Hall. UHS also accepts credit/debit cards as a form of payment
at the Health Center.

Show off your room...
Model Room Host Description
The Admissions Dept. needs residents from Susquehanna and Patapsco; present your room as a prime
example of living on campus at UMBC!
Both you and your roommate must agree to
serving as a model room host and one of you must be present at all showings.
Showings occur during Black and Gold Tours (Monday-Friday at 12pm and select
Saturdays), large-scale Admissions events (approximately 5 per semester), and various
special group visits. Expected availability is 5 hours per week throughout the
semester with compensation of $300 per semester, paid in 2 or 3 installments.
Maintain a clean, respectful, and appropriate room for all showings.

In order to support an environment conducive to study and to stagger check out times across the week, we ask students to move-out of their rooms within 24 hours after their last final or no later than 8 p.m. on May 20th. All buildings close and residents must be completely moved out of their rooms or apartments by 8 PM on Wednesday, May 20th.
Staff will provide students with a closing check list. Most students do a great job of preparing their rooms for check out. Since students won't be able to enter their old residence hall or apartment after closing, please check drawers, closets, cabinets, and wardrobes carefully before leaving. Cleaning crews enter buildings immediately following closing and items left behind are discarded by housekeeping staff.
Remember students should schedule an appointment with the RA at least 48 hours before move out. At this appointment, the RA inspects room damages, takes room key and resident ID. Failure to make and keep a scheduled check out appointment is one of the more expensive check out charges ($50.00). Key and ID charges add up, too. Luckily, these are easy charges to avoid as long as students follow the check out instructions.
