Free Farmers Market 6/17/2025 Hi everybody!

Since there was no Free Farmer's Market last week, we are going to host a Free Farmer's Market tomorrow, 6/17/2025 from 2:00pm - 2:45pm at the Apartment Community Center (same place as before). 

In addition, Retriever Essentials will be closed tomorrow at 1:30pm, but we will reopen at 3:30pm.

We'll do another post tomorrow reminding everyone, and we hope to see you there!


Also, since this Thursday is Juneteenth, we will NOT have Farmer's Market on 6/19.

Quick PSA:

For those who got the Atlantic Salmon from the FFM today (06/05/2025), please be mindful of a few things before eating.

If your salmon has a slimy or mushy like texture (it's floppy and not firm), any sort of discoloring ( a darker shade of the usual vibrant light orange/pink), or a noticeably stronger fishy smell thats pungant, or feeling unsure about it, please consider discarding it! We also don't recommend freezing it either for later use as that wont aid it either.

Donate your gently used items as you pack and move out! In partnership with the Office of Sustainability and ResLife, Retriever Essentials has created the Retriever ReStore, to collect and redistribute donated items from student move out back to our community to keep them out of the landfill.

Green collection bins are placed in the lobbies of each residential building, including the ACC and Walker Clubhouse, to donate your unwanted belongings.

Donated items will be available to shop from for free in the ReStore pop up at the Essential Space (in The Commons next to the bookstore) as collection goes on. At this time, we are NOT accepting clothing or linens. See below for a list of accepted items!

Green Move Out Donation collection bins have been placed in residential buildings across campus to collect gently used items that students do not plan to take home with them. The Office of Sustainability, Retriever Essentials, and ResLife have partnered to create the Retriever ReStore, to collect and redistribute these donated items back to our campus community and the greater Baltimore community. UMBC community members can also shop for free from donated items at the pop up shop location in retriever Essentials Coat Closet in the Commons!
