We will be having our first range day of the semester on March 1st at Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore. The range opens at 9:00 in the morning and we will be there until about 2:00.

The range is located at 11518 Marriottsville Road, though the entrance is located just after turning onto Wards Chapel Road. See here for directions from UMBC.

Like last time, we will have two lanes so two people will be able to go up to the firing line at a time. I will also have a few spare pairs of eye and ear protection.

Finally, remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

The club range day will be on Saturday, November 16th at AGC in Marriottsville. I will be at the range from 9:00 AM to about 2:00 PM, and people can come and go at any time in that window.

AGC is a members-only range but allows guests to share a lane with a member. This means we will only have one lane for everyone (we have not been able to get a second badge yet), and guests must check in with a valid photo ID at the Barnes range house (the building in front of the 100-yard range) and each pay a $15 fee.

We will make arrangements for carpooling from UMBC and leaving around 9:30-10:00 (exact time and place subject to change depending on attendee needs - fill out the form!). Anyone bringing firearms cannot legally come to campus and will have to make other arrangements. The range is open all day, so you can come later if you want.

Most importantly, make sure to review AGC's rules. The rules are divided into 4 categories, with C4 being the most severe. Most of these rules are common sense, but make sure you know them anyway.

Only one person will be allowed up to the firing line at a time (in addition to the badge holder), so it may be a good idea to come later in the day if you're not willing to wait around for a while.

Finally, remember to bring eye and ear protection and dress appropriately for the weather.

Also, in case anyone missed the Discord announcement, our meetings are currently being held on Wednesdays at 11:30-12:30 in ITE 229. Any further changes will be announced on Discord as well.

We are currently voting on when to hold our first range trip of the semester, currently we are considering: October 14th, October 21st, or October 28th. If you have a preferred date, please cast your vote through the provided google forms link. Voting closes at 12:00 on Friday the 22nd of September.

Next meeting we will be announcing the chosen date for the range trip, and we will be covering some very important firearms safety information, I would greatly appreciate if anyone who intends to come to our range trip(s) attends this meeting.

We will additionally be previewing/displaying all T-shirt/hoodie/sticker designs during the next meeting, so if you are interested in creating a design, please email it to me (nathanw2@umbc.edu), or post it in the discord with officers mentioned.

The range admission cost is $25 for people who do not live in Carrol County, and $15 for those who do. Additionally the range opens at 10:00 am, and it is recommended that you get there around 30min early to beat the line.

As the semester draws to a close I would like to announce our final meeting will be held this Friday (the 12th of May) at the usual time in ITE 237. Additionally we will have a special guest, and a UMBC Alumni from '77'. He has some interesting firearm safety advice, and anecdotes to tell us.
