Interact Dialogues – September 5 – October 18, 2021

The Interact Dialogues Program, is an experience designed for first year and transfer students to learn and practice skills to become inclusive leaders and engaged community members. Each dialogue group is facilitated by Resident Assistants and past Interact participants. 

You will meet in-person small groups for a short, weekly session to learn foundational dialogues skills, and to practice empathetic and generous listening, cross-cultural storytelling, and critical self-reflection. 

Participating in Interact also makes you eligible to apply for our IDEAL internship peer facilitators program!

Dear Students,

As we shared in the survey we sent you last week, we are now able to offer free on-campus COVID-19 vaccinations. Our first clinic will be for students on Tuesday, May 11 from 9 AM - 1 PM in the UC Ballroom and we will be offering the Pfizer vaccine, sign-up here for the first dose. We have a limited number of shots so please sign up ASAP. When you arrive on campus, please park in Lot 8. You must wear a mask and practice physical distancing. 

The Pfizer vaccination requires two shots three weeks apart. We will offer second shots on campus on Tuesday, June 1, 9AM - 1 PM. You should make plans to complete your vaccination series by either a) have a secure plan to return to campus for your second shot, or b) commit to scheduling the second Pfizer dose at a pharmacy or mass vaccination site near your home. You must get both shots on schedule to comply with the vaccine requirement for Fall 2021. You can sign-up to receive your second dose on campus here. 

We know that these dates overlap with the end of the semester and that some students may be concerned about vaccine reactions. While reactions to the first shot are typically mild, you are welcome to wait and seek vaccination off-campus at a later time. We also plan to offer additional clinics on campus throughout the summer. Remember that you are fully vaccinated 2 weeks after your last vaccine dose, so plan enough time after your second shot before you return to campus in the fall.
