If you are planning to graduate this Spring 2021, you must apply for graduation by February 15, 2021 to be eligible for review. 

To do so, please follow the steps below :  

• Log into myUMBC with your Username and Password. 

• Locate the Guide menu. 

• Select either Classes & Grades or Advising & Student Support. 

• Click the link Graduation Application. 

• Follow the prompts within the application in order to complete and submit your application. 

If you have any questions about your eligibility for graduation, please contact your advisor.

In the event of inclement weather or other emergency conditions, the UMBC-USG community should follow delays and closure notifications for the "Universities at Shady Grove" rather than your individual USM institution.

Dear Students - 

Given that the vast majority of courses at USG will be offered online this spring, USG Student Services will continue to operate in a virtual capacity. To access the following student service resources, you will need your assigned USG ID number:

• Career & Internship Services

• Center for Academic Success

• Center for Counseling & Consultation

• Center for Student Engagement & Financial Resources

• Priddy Library

Returning Students (enrolled only in online courses)

Returning students should already have their physical ID/USG ID number in hand. If you cannot find your USG ID or number you can reset your password via the portal. Please see the attached handout.

New Students (enrolled only in online courses)

USG has created the USG Logon ID Self Service Portal to allow students to obtain a USG ID number. You will need your UMBC ID (ex. AB97100) to create an account. Please see attached handout with detailed instructions. Once normal operations have resumed we will provide more information on obtaining your physical USG ID card.

New & Returning Students (enrolled in a hybrid course with in-person components)

Students who have a scheduled on-site class will need to obtain a physical USG ID as well as a spring 2021 validation sticker. You should have received an email message from USG with detailed instructions.  If you have not received this email, please contact me or Chelsea Moyer, director, immediately.

Dear Retriever Community,

If you identify as an undocumented or DACA student and are pursuing a bachelor’s degree, you may be eligible to be considered for institutional grant aid and may be able to apply to some State Aid programs.   For more information, visit our  financial aid information relevant to undocumented and DACA students.

Dear Students –  

While the majority of students will not physically be on campus during the spring 2021 semester you still have the ability to request a main campus UMBC ID.

NOTE:Once UMBC-Shady Grove has resumed normal operations we will send out communications on how to pick up your physical ID.

Please  submit your photos to the Campus Card Office no later than February 8th.
