<Title>I.S. PhD Student Brian Frey Co-Developer of BrailleTouchApp</Title>
<Tagline>Native app included in the iOS 8 software</Tagline>

collaborating for the past several years with colleagues at Georgia Tech
University on a very simple concept: How can one infuse braille

recent release of the Apple’s new mobile operating system, iOS8. Of the millions of apps that Apple has approved for release in the App Store
since the release of the first generation iPhone, only a select few have
been tapped for inclusion as a “native” app, included in the iOS
    software package itself. <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/app/brailletouch/id579725651?ls=1&amp;mt=8." rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Braille Touch</a>
provides a familiar braille layout for the vision impaired user as well
as audio feedback to give the user instant feedback that they are
typing the message as they intended.</p><br>See more at <a href="https://umbcinsights.wordpress.com/2014/10/06/information-systems-ph-d-student-is-co-developer-of-an-iphone-app-in-ios8-package/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">https://umbcinsights.wordpress.com/2014/10/06/information-systems-ph-d-student-is-co-developer-of-an-iphone-app-in-ios8-package/</a></div>

needs of potential students with a wide variety of characteristics. Disability is just one of many characteristics that
a student might possess. For example, one student could be Hispanic, six feet tall, male, thirty years old, an excel-
lent reader, primarily a visual learner, and deaf. UD requires consideration of all characteristics of potential users,
including abilities and disabilities, when developing a course or service...." for more information, download the publication at the link below.
