Introductory Meeting Hi Sprouts!

We will be having our first meeting for the fall semester this Thursday, September 28 at the Garden located near the UMBC Police Station. The meeting will be from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce members to the garden club, garden clean up, get acquainted with your new plot, and seek any suggestions that members would like to do in the fall.

Hi Sprouts!

Just a reminder, Burgers and Chip(s) will be happening THIS WEDNESDAY at The Garden, from 11:30 - 1PM! We hope to see you there!


It's that time of the year again! If you are interested in being a part of the e-board next year, please fill out our interest form! Our available positions are Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Social Media Chair. This is the interest form to fill out:

Fill this out by Wednesday, April 26th if you would like to run. We will be sending out a voting form the next morning so make sure you fill out the interest form or else you will not be able to run.

Also, a couple of other things to keep in mind if you are interested in running:
1. You must be an enrolled undergraduate student at UMBC. Graduate students and faculty cannot hold any of our E-Board positions.
2. You must have previously been a member of this club for at least one semester at UMBC.
3. You must be able to commit to at least one full year on the E-Board. The term starts May 1st, 2023 and ends May 1st, 2024.
4. If you are interested in running for more than one position, please complete separate forms for each position you are interested in.
5. The duties of each position are explained in the form.

Hi Sprouts! We hope you are enjoying and relaxing during your last month of break!

The Garden Club, with special guests Sgt. Cheatem and Chip, as well as the women's basketball team, are hosting our first event of the year! Burgers and Chip(s) will be happening on August 12th from 1-3pm at The Garden (located in front of the UMBC Police Station). 

This will be a great way to meet the new board and other Garden members! There will be the standard grill foods like hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, fruit, soda, etc., as well as some vegan options. If you would like to bring other snacks, foods, or drinks, please feel free.

Hi Gardeners! 

Long time no see! We just completed elections for the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year and are very happy to welcome our new members! You can see the new board listed on our home page on the right side. 

A small recap of our year: we had several successful clean-up days to maintain the plots that we weren't able to get to during lockdowns, we worked to transplant milkweed seeds to the garden in order to attract pollinators, we did a plant swap at our GMB, we worked with UMBC's sustainability team and did a mushroom log inoculation workshop, and finally, we had a ton of new members join! 

For our current plot renters, please make sure you are maintaining your plot(s). You are responsible for it throughout the summer and into the fall. If you have any questions regarding the plots or anything else, don't hesitate to reach out to us through our Discord, Instagram, or via email. 

We wish everyone good luck on their finals and hope you have a great summer! (PS: Be on the lookout for some upcoming events in the summer and fall.)
