Hello everybody! Here's some new stuff we wanted to share with you.

Legally Blonde Creative Team

We are now accepting applications to be a part of the creative team for our spring production of Legally Blonde. This group will include Assistant Director, Vocal Director, Stage Manager (& Assistant), Intimacy Choreographer, and Choreographer. If interested, please fill out this form before December 12 at 4 PM. Interviews will be conducted after the form has closed.

Legally Blonde Creative Team Application

Future Club Communication

Starting this spring semester, announcements from the MTC Executive Board will be sent out using myUMBC. All the information will still be available to everyone, but this will allow other students who aren't already involved to see what is going on. You can also easily scroll back and find other information in a centralized place (rather than getting lost in our busy inboxes).

Don't fret if you're unsure how to find that. We will give a quick demonstration during our GBM this week. Here's a step by step process to make sure you will continue getting our emails:

1. Login to myUMBC

2. At the top, click "Groups."

3. Scroll down to "Browse Groups" and choose "Arts & Media."

4. Find "Musical Theater Club" among the clubs listed (I see it about halfway down the list).

5. In the top right, click the green "Follow" button.

6. From there, you can edit your notifications from the club.

             None = None (obvi)

Important Only = all emails (what you already receive)

All Updates = all emails, notifications when events are added

This email will be posted on both myUMBC and sent through the email group, so if you receive both emails already, you're good to go!

Welcome to Dog Collar!

<Tagline>We've hacked back into the mainframe of MyUMBC :)</Tagline>

To those who don't know us, Hi Hello Welcome, and to those familiar, we are back online!

We will be revamping and updating our MyUMBC to make it more accesible to the UMBC community and hopefully spread the word about what we do as a performing arts club on campus! Just for a refresher/ crash course on what Dog Collar Comedy is, an ancient scroll from our founding ancestors who used ye old Facebook once spoke:

"One cold, dreary January, three friends decided that UMBC needed some Improv. Thus out of cold, wind, and boredom, Dog-Collar Comedy Troupe was born!

We are UMBC's premier (albeit only) Improv Troupe! We perform both short form and long form Improv, as well as dabble in Sketch Comedy!"

We perform about 3 times a semester, bringing you a 2-hour live improv comedy set that you will never forget [maybe for good, maybe for bad, but thats for you to find out ;)] All shows are free of charge to all, so bring your mama, papa, any guardians, friends, other family, and your i m a g i n a t i o n to test our improv skills and create fun, entertaining scenes for you all to enjoy!

Hi everyone!

The TheatreCOM election will be held from Monday, April 23rd until Monday April 30th at 1:15pm!

Click on the attached link to vote for next year's board!

A couple notes:

You must vote from your UMBC email. If you click the link and it says "You do not have permission," make sure you are logged into your UMBC account.

You do have the option to edit your response as long as it's within the next week.

For each position, you can choose "ABSTAIN" if you feel that none of the candidates would be successful board members.

The blurbs for each person running are in the poll.

If no one wins at least 50.1% of the vote, or two people tie, we will have a runoff poll.

Each position's duties are listed again below for your convenience (as well as in the poll itself).

Quick note: Ana Petricel and Chloe Scully will be acting as the election board for this year. If anyone has reasonable evidence of election tampering/interference, it should be sent directly to them!

President: Oversees the board and club, communicates with Commons staff and SGA, collaborates with other student theater groups, and represents the club to the rest of UMBC.

Vice President: Oversees internal affairs, communicates with club members involved in productions to ensure that they are going smoothly, and assumes the role of President when they are absent.

Treasurer: Manages the club's money and bank account, requests funds from SGA, and reimburses club members for purchases.

Secretary: Sends emails to club with general updates, takes notes at meetings, manages the club's list serve, archives information, and helps the Publicity Manager promote events.

Public Relations: Makes posters/banners/flyers etc. to promote our events, manages the club's Facebook group, and helps Secretary in keeping cub members informed about events via social media.

Technical Director: Communicates with other UMBC clubs and staff to select appropriate build and performance spaces and dates, runs production meetings, oversees tech, helps coordinate any technical needs for shows, and is the representative of Theatre Technicians to the board.

Happy Polling!
