<Title>Announcement: Key Bridge Collapse Impact on Downtown Route</Title>
<Tagline>Expected increase in traffic congestion Downtown Baltimore</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content">
    <div>Dear Retrievers and Valued Riders,</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>We hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to inform you about a significant incident that may affect your commute in the coming days.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>Following a recent cargo ship collision with the Baltimore Key Bridge, its subsequent collapse led to traffic diversions from I-695 to I-95. While we anticipate minimal impact on our regular <a href="https://transit.umbc.edu/schedules/downtown-line-schedule/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><strong>Downtown route </strong></a>initially, we expect heavier traffic in the area in the days and weeks ahead.</div>
    <div><img src="https://my3.my.umbc.edu/system/shared/attachments/news/000/140/219/1e0554729eb96d40cffedb83b5a73223/Screen%20Shot%202024-03-26%20at%206.36.38%20PM.png" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto;"></div>
    <div>We will be closely monitoring the situation and will be working diligently to mitigate any disruptions to your travel plans. Nevertheless, due to the expected increase in traffic congestion, we encourage all riders utilizing the Downtown route to plan their trips and consider allowing extra time for their commute.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>We understand the importance of reliable transportation, especially during challenging times like these, and we are committed to providing you with the best possible service. Please stay tuned for any updates or further information regarding changes to routes or schedules.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us; we can be reached at <a href="mailto:transit@umbc.edu">transit@umbc.edu</a> or 410.455.2454</div>
