Who are we?
  • AI4ALL is a national nonprofit that is transforming the pipeline of AI practitioners and creating a more inclusive, human-centered discipline. We empower students to be AI Changemakers by cultivating an environment where they develop skills in critical thinking and relationship-building, and expertise in responsible AI. AI4ALL champions the diverse next generation of AI changemakers through education, ethics, and relationship-driven networks.  


  • All college students are welcome to apply, but AI4ALL prioritizes students whose race, gender, or ethnicity have been historically excluded from AI. We strongly encourage that students identifying as Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous or Women & Non-binary apply.



What is AI4ALL Ignite?


  • AI4ALL Ignite is a no-cost virtual accelerator that provides undergraduate students the opportunity to work on an AI portfolio project with mentorship and guidance from AI industry experts, a student symposium to showcase their work, and extensive and practical training in career readiness and & the technical AI internship interview. Two accelerators are on the horizon in the next year -  one cohort starting in Fall 2024 and one cohort starting in Spring 2025.


  •  This application is specifically for the Fall 2024 cohort.  You may find a student interest sheet for future cycles here.




What is the cost of participating in the accelerator?


  • There is no cost to participate in AI4ALL Ignite.



Why should you apply?


AI4ALL Ignite is designed to equip you to become emerging tech-savvy talent with a responsible AI mindset. By the end of the accelerator, you will be a desirable candidate for AI companies and departments. In fact, apply, participate, and be ready for AI technical internship interviews by February 2025 and continue your journey in the industry.

  • Cultivate Long-Term AI Industry Connections and Mentorship: Engage directly with AI industry leaders and students enrolled at colleges/universities throughout the country on an extensive AI portfolio project, career chats, mock interview practice, a student networking and project share-out symposium from companies like  Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, General Motors, and Nvidia among others.

 

  • Work on a Technical AI Portfolio Project:  Develop AI technical skills by collaborating with an AI industry mentor and with other enrolled at U.S. schools. This project will involve a more technical focus using the concepts that you learned this Fall.

 

  • AI Career Readiness Training: Prepare for AI technical internship interviews, learning essential skills for positions at top companies.

  • Receive an AI4ALL Certificate  at completion of  of program accelerator



We highly recommend applying early as space is limited, and the application may close early.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be 18+ in age.
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Associate's academic program at a U.S. college/university & pursuing a major/minor related to Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or any major disciplines related to Artificial Intelligence. 
  • Have basic programming skills in Python (e.g. CS1) or other coding language
  • Have completed Probability & Statistics and Linear Algebra by accelerator launch
