As we approach the end of the semester we would like to give each of you the opportunity to share feedback with the board members. Regardless if you attended just 1 meeting or 10+ meetings, we would like to hear from you.

End of Semester Celebration Tonight! Final Week
7:10 - 9:00 PM | ENG 231
Hey CyberDawgs,
Tonight is our final club meeting of the semester! However, instead of our regular meeting format we are going to a little of a celebration. From 7:10 PM to 9:00 PM in Engineering 231 join us for an End of Semester Celebration! Everyone is invited to attend! We especially welcome other clubs and affiliate collaborators to join us as well! (SAD, LUG, ARC, WiCyS, etc.)
Here's what to expect:
- Delicious pizza, refreshing drinks, and a variety of candy (all free btw)
- CyberPaws CTF Winners Announced*
- Raffle Winner Announced*
- An opportunity to share stories, experiences, and maybe a few laughs over the past semester
- Wii and Jackbox Games
- As a special honor, our graduating team members participating in this Winter's graduation ceremonies will receive their honor cords!
*You must be in attendance to receive prizes
This event is a chance for us to celebrate the end of the semester and the resilience, dedication, and camaraderie that define our community. We've all put in much hard work this semester, and it's time to celebrate that effort. So come ready to kick back, have fun, and enjoy well-deserved downtime.

With the end of the Fall 2023 semester quickly approaching, we are thrilled to invite you all to our much-anticipated End-of-Semester Celebration! As we come to the culmination of an incredible and challenging semester, it's time to relax, reflect, and rejoice in our collective achievements. We welcome other clubs and affiliate collaborators to join us.
End of Semester Celebration Location and Time:

CyberPaws CTF: Week 13
Baby's First BinBomb
The next CyberPaws CTF challenge has been released! Please submit your flag to the "Prize Pup Bot" on our Discord via DMs, using the `!submit` command! You have until our next meeting to submit. The flag will always be in the following format: Paws{ex4mpl3_fl4g}.
Category: Binary Exploitation
Challenge Name: Baby's First BinBomb
If you're new to binary bombs, this is the perfect start!
Your task is to defuse a ticking time bomb by entering the correct input into the command line of a Linux terminal. If the correct input is provided, the bomb diffuses. If not, it explodes!
Run the binary in a Linux terminal, play the game, and solve the questions to get the flag.
There are two paths: You can try to solve the puzzles and guess your way to safety, or you can dive into the code and figure out the expected inputs before ever running the program
Whether you're a codebreaker or a puzzle solver, this challenge has something for everyone. Good luck and have fun!
Note: The flag will be alphanumeric. Please surround it with Paws{} when submitting, like so: Paws{ex4mpL3_fl4G}

Tonight we will be holding elections for vacant board positions. These positions include Vice President and Treasurer. You may run for more than 1 position, but you may only hold 1 of these 2 positions.
If you've enjoyed attending the meetings and want them to continue, please think about applying for these positions. If we do not fill these positions, we can not operate as a club. Furthermore being a board member is a great way to expand your connections academically/professionally and make a meaningful contribution to UMBC.

We got something strange and unusual.
A weird transmission sent by a suspected threat actor went out on a UHF radio band. We've saved it to this audio file and now we need you to analyze it.
The transmission seems almost like there's some pattern to the beeping noises that can be heard on the frequency, but we need you to figure out exactly what.
Can you analyze this audio/video and extract the information?

Tonight will be covering Basic PowerShell for Cybersecurity. You will have the chance to learn from the a current team member, about their experiences with PowerShell and how to best utilize it within cybersecurity. This meeting will also be useful as introduction to principles of Windows security. So, if you are interested in getting involved with the official UMBC cyber competition team or just want to know more about Powershell/Windows Security, you definitely want to attend the meeting tonight!

Category: Forensics
Challenge Name: Grep Analysis
We recovered data about a hardware dump from a network transfer between a suspicious IP and a known cyber-criminal.
We know that the cyber-criminal was at a specific Starbucks, but there are so many people there on laptops in the security footage that we can't tell which one is him. To make matters worse, the traffic has been proxied so we can't determine the IP info for the device either.
Because threat actors tend to have preferences for software, we think getting the product name used for the hardware dump can help us narrow it down.
Can you figure out the product name from this hardware dump?
Note: The flag will be the alphanumeric name of the software, in all capitals and no spaces. You will need to surround it with Paws{} before submitting it, like so: Paws{PRODUCTNAME50}
