OOO EVENT & SILENT AUCTION: Friday, April 22 | 6 pm - 10 pm
AFTER PARTY: Friday, April 22 | 10 pm to 1 am
Maryland Art Place (MAP) eagerly anticipates the return of its Annual Spring Benefit Exhibition & Silent Auction, Out of Order (OOO) on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 6’oclock in the evening. This year Out of Order turns 25!! The auction will be both a virtual and physical exhibition and will be held in the MAP building located at 218 West Saratoga Street, just within the Bromo Arts District.
Any artist is welcome to hang one original work of art on the first-come, first-served installation day, taking place on Friday, April 8, 2022, from 7 am-midnight. No need to sign up in advance, just come by MAP's first-floor gallery space @ 218 West Saratoga Street in the Bromo Arts District! You must be able to install your work on April 8th to participate in the exhibition.
All work must come framed and ready to hang. (size requirement is 40" x 40" or less)
Artists must install their own work on Artist Install day, Friday, April 8 between the hours of 7 am and midnight
NO Application fee to apply!
The work you include in Out of Order must be for sale. The proceeds from the silent auction are split 50/50 between the artist and MAP. All works will be silently auctioned Friday, April 22, 2022, from 6 -10 pm
Participating artists receive free admission to OOO!

Production Assistant
You do not have to be a visual arts major to apply to this position. This position requires working in the production room of commonvision. No printing experience is required; we will train the right person.
Applicants Must:
Be highly dedicated & organized
Have at least 2 semesters left at UMBC
Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Must pass a judicial and OEI check
Be able to work at least 10 hours a week
Be an undergraduate student
Students will be responsible for:
Receiving, reviewing and processing print orders
Prioritizing tasks for efficiency and tight deadlines
Modifying existing digital projects using InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
Running print jobs on wide format and large volume printers
Take the lead installing projects around campus
Using other finishing services as required by the project

Guillotine Cutter
Lamination and foam board mounting
We’re looking for students with:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A great sense of organization and planning
Ability to work without constant supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced physical environment
Experience working with MAC and PC Operating Systems
