<Title>Paid Internship with Creative Services</Title>

    <span>The intern would gain experience in an award-winning design studio, contributing to projects that
    help advance UMBC’s mission and vision. This position would primarily focus on improving image
    searches in our archives by tagging photos using programs like Adobe Bridge, Lightroom, and
    Photoshop, and UMBC’s Box account. In addition to consistent work on the archives, the intern
    would be able to grow their own skills in concentrations like photography and design, assisting on
    assignments and projects as needed and as applicable to their skill set. The intern would be given
    guidance on best practices for photography, editing, and design. The position can work up to 10
    </span><span>hours per week (with a  exible weekly schedule), pays $12/hour, and works on location in Creative
    </span><span>Services on a studio provided iMac. An ideal candidate will have photography experience and an
    interest in pursuing photojournalistic assignments and should be well versed in Adobe’s Creative
    Cloud suite of programs. Candidates should be in the Visual Arts program, or be working towards
    a major that focuses on photojournalism, archiving, or museum studies. Selected applicant would
    ideally begin over the summer and work through the fall semester.

<Title>Global Pathways for Students</Title>

     year, with a generous pledge from Jim Albrecht at McCormick, WTCI 
    launched the Global Pathways for Students (GPS) program to connect 20 - 
    25 globally minded, rising sophomores and juniors, to international 
    companies
     here in Baltimore. The program aims to expose these students to a wide 
    array of companies, careers, and opportunities in international 
    business.  The goal is to keep global talent local and to help these 
    students build their network.

    <strong><span>Responsibilities</span></strong><span>:</span></p>
    <ul>
    <li>
    Assist with migration of content from Craft CMS to WordPress</li>
    <li>
    Gather content from current site or original print files</li>
    <li>
    Ensure proper tagging for all posts</li>
    <li>
    Prepare images for web as needed</li>
    <li>
    Create digital assets and designs for web pages as needed</li>
    <li>
    Assist with website user-ability testing including cross-browser and mobile website testing</li>
    <li>
    Perform other duties as assigned</li>
    </ul>
    <p>
    <strong><span>Qualifications &amp; Skills</span></strong><span>:</span></p>
    <ul>
    <li>
    Must be enrolled in degree-granting program to receive college credit</li>
    <li>
    Experience with WordPress (Craft a plus)</li>

    Familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign</li>

    Accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills</li>

    Self-motivated and reliable</li>

A zine is a magazine-style book, consisting of original work such as texts likes short stories, poems, or images like photography, sketches, etc. </div>
