Muslim Woman’s Op-Ed in USA Today Asks Government to Dictate Theology
A muslim woman, upset by gender discrimination in US mosques, asks the government to force houses of worship to abandon different gender roles for men and women. In Islamic houses of worship, men and women are separated in different rooms or by a partition, for prayers. Asra Nomani, the writer, claims that this makes [mosques] “true men’s clubs.” However, the 1stAmendment guarantees religious freedom against government intrusion into how they operate. Disappointingly, she refers to the Supreme Court decision against Bob Jones University in 1982, which set a dangerous precedent for the freedom of all religions in America to operate freely without government-mandated “gender equality.” For an in-depth explanation, see:

Spiritual Sickness
A man who rejects all notions of exclusivity goes on a rampage against God (he even reaches out to criticize muslims for believing only muslims are saved, although he spends most of his effort attacking Christianity). He denies the atoning death of Jesus Christ, he denies His divinity, He denies that the Bible is God’s authority, and even denies that the early Church thought Jesus was any more than “a simple and plain person.” Sadly, he is the head of Mercer University. Biblical Christians are encouraged to avoid his false teachings.
Transformers Voice Actor Hears the Gospel
Ray Comfort prayed for “divine encounters,” and was surprised to be moved up to First Class by a flight attendant, whereafter he met and spoke at length with one of the lead voice actors for Transformers, and also spoke with one of the Jonas Brothers and promised to send him a CD entitled “Hell’s Best-Kept Secret.” Mark Ryan is the voice actor for Bumblebee in at least one of the movies and a video game, as well as being the voice of Jetfire in the 2ndmovie and Ironhide in one of the video games. Other works include The Prestige and Charlie’s Angels.

This is from the levee that the Army Corps of Engineers had to open to relieve the flood earlier this spring. This adds to the contemporary examples, most notably Mt. St. Helens in Washington State, that show that large amounts of rock can be cut, and sediment can be piled up, in a short amount of time, by catastrophic water action.
High Rate of Mutations Accumulating Each Generation in Humans
The fact that 60 to 200 new mutations are “irrevocably added each generation,” indicates that in a short span of (geologic) time, humans would cease to be biologically viable due to the fact that an organism can only tolerate a certain amount of mutations before the species reaches what is called “error catastrophe.”
Can Melanin Survive Without Degrading for 120 million years?
The original melanin in feathers of an extinct bird that is dated at 120 Ga has been confirmed to be part of the original sample of Confuciusornis sanctus.
Correction: while original melanin has been found in fossils dated too old for conventional decay to leave any remaining organic compounds, this particular example is of copper remains in a distribution that shows where eumelanin originally was located. Whether original eumelanin was found in this fossil was left unsaid by any source that I was able to investigate.

A small-town high school student, deals with adversity, racial discrimination, and teen motherhood, only to come out with a near perfect grade point average and be named valedictorian of her high school class…
…sounds like a pitch for a new ABC Family TV show, right?
Except it’s not. It’s reality for Kymberly Wimberly (…and you thought Juliet Capulet had it hard!). And unfortunately, her story didn’t conclude with a happy ending like the TV-version would have.
Wimberly was an exceptional high school student at McGhee High School in racially-divided small-town Arkansas. During her junior year of high school, she got pregnant.
Rather than dropping out or signing up for an MTV reality show, Wimberly stayed in school – missing only three weeks and returning back to school for finals after she gave birth.
She worked hard balancing her new responsibilities as a mother with her studies in school.
But Kymberly had a slip up in English class: she got a B…her first ever.
During her senior year, Wimberly was determined to overcome her “slip” in grades. The young woman signed up for a full course load of Advanced Placement classes, which she got all A’s in, bringing her GPA back up and placing her first in line for the valedictorian slot at graduation.
The school guidance counselor told Kimberly’s mom, Molly Bratton, the good news. Bratton was overjoyed.
This is where the TV show’s season finale would end, maybe with a closing emotional graduation montage. But this is where the real life injustice started for Wimberly and her family.
The next day, Bratton, who works at the high school, heard another staff member talk about
the big mess
that having Kymberly as valedictorian would cause.
Her mother, and media sources since the story has become public, have interpreted this comment and the school’s subsequent actions to be both because of Wymberly’s race (the majority white school hasn’t had a black valedictorian in almost 20 years) and because of her status as a teen mother.
The next day, McGhee principal Darrell Thompson announced that this year, the high school would break tradition and name a co-valedictorian – a white student, with a lower GPA.
Bratton attempted to file an appeal to the decision, but the school system informed her she would have to wait until the end of June to have her petition heard, a month and a half after Kymberly’s graduation.
Her father then contacted a civil rights attorney from Little Rock who quickly called the superintendent Thomas Gathen, who assured the lawyer that he would
fix the problem
Apparently, fixing the problem to Gathen means defending the status quo. Believing that the situation was indeed fixed, the lawyer didn’t file an injunction. Then Gathen took to the air waves, defending the school’s decision.
Now months after graduation, Wimberly’s lawyer is suing Gathen, the school board, and Thompson for racial discrimination – both against Wimberly and on behalf of other African-American students at McGhee who claim to have been discouraged from taking AP classes.
Meanwhile, a former teen mom is taking up for Wymberly through online activism. Bee Lavendar started this petition on change.org to stand allow people across the nation to stand in solidarity with Kymberly and demand that the school system apologize and give her the honor she deserves.

The Postal Service hopes the contraction will save $200 million a year. That does not come close to recouping the $8 billion the agency is expected to lose for the second year running as it fights plummeting mail volume. But postal officials said they intend to review half of their network of 32,000 post offices for closure in the next decade as they try to slash labor costs.”
