The Department of Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering (CBEE) at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the broad fields of biomedical or biomolecular engineering, including areas involving synthetic biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, biomanufacturing, metabolic engineering, biological materials, and computational aspects of biomedical and biomolecular engineering. We are especially interested in applicants who conduct interdisciplinary research which will complement the current expertise in our department and college.

A virtual information session on the 77th Japan-America Student Conference will be held next Tuesday, October 29th, at 8:30 PM.! The conference in 2025 will be held in Japan in Kyoto/Osaka (July 31-August 7), Kumamoto (August 8-13), Tokyo (August 14-21).

Hello everyone! I want to take a moment to thank everyone who was a part of Showcase this year! We put on an amazing show thanks to the energy and excitement that all of you brought to our rehearsals, tech week, and of course the shows! I love making memorable moments with all of you, returning members and our many new faces! MTC is truly lucky to have such talented and creative people to work with.


We are also thankful to everyone who came out to support our show as well! Thank you all for your ongoing dedication and enthusiasm for our club!

It employs more than 16,000 faculty members and 18,000 staff members, and owns almost 1,000 buildings. Its annual operating budget is $7 billion. There are more than 160,000 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at its various institutions.

How would you like to represent all of those students as a member of the Board of Regents, the system's governing body?

Please take a look at this description of the Student Regent position and consider applying. Please also pass the information along to friends who may be interested. The Student Regent will serve from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027, including as the voting Student Regent in 2026-2027. All applicants should be planning to graduate in spring 2027 or later.

The RO water loop will be sanitized next Monday the 28th of October. This is a two day process and RO will be unavailable on both the 28th and 29th, as the system needs to be flushed repeatedly before usage.

The techs will be going lab to lab after the sanitization to assure chlorine levels are reduced to undetectable to finish the job. During the sanitization, water to both millipore systems on the 4th floor and the picopure system needs to be turned off to avoid burning out the cartridges. Also any fish tanks which may still be connected to the loop must be turned off.
