<div>Changing our senate name has been in the works for some time. We revisited this as a priority in the fall of 2023 and successfully voted as a senate to change our name. Our proposal was sent to the University Steering Committee for approval and approved earlier this year. This change was just codified into the UMBC Plan of Organization by the President and UMBC’s legal counsel and made official as of June 14, 2024.</div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>Spread the word, and expect to see us changing names and logos over the next month. Thank you to the senators who have worked on this process for many years!</div>
