Hello, friends!
Here in April, it is National Autism Acceptance Month! At our general board meeting this week, we will be focusing on providing some information about the Autism Spectrum as well as why this month is so important.
We will also be viewing a video that provides autistic representation.
As usual, our meeting will be held this Thursday on April 11th from 6-7 pm in Sherman Hall room 013.

A Study on UMBC First-Year Undergraduate Students’ Experiences with Navigating Patient Portals
Take part in a UMBC-based survey
We are recruiting UMBC undergraduate students in their first year who are 18 or 19 years old to participate in a brief, about 15 minute survey, to understand whether or not they use patient portals, how they use them, and challenges they may encounter when using them.
While there are no direct benefits to participating, the insights gained could help to improve patient portals and the information about patient portals to better support and empower you in managing your health.

Unseen Flesh, Gynecology and Black Queer Worth-Making
Dr. Nessette Falu, Assistant Professor, Africa and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, will be discussing her new book, Unseen Flesh, on Tuesday, April 16th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at this virtual link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81012539252.
From 2002-2019, Dr. Falu worked as a Physician Assistant in neurosurgery,
internal medicine, HIV care, hematology/oncology, and pain management that has deeply informed her ongoing research and
pedagogy.
Her book explores how Black lesbians in Brazil define and sustain their
well-being and self-worth against persistent racial, sexual, class, and
gender-based prejudice. Demonstrating how the racist and heteronormative
underpinnings of gynecology erase Black lesbian subjecthood through
mental, emotional, and physical traumas, Falu explores the daily
resistance and abolitionist practices of worth-making that claim and
sustain Black queer identity and living.

UMBC Music Students Present at URCAD!
Congratulations to UMBC Music Students Khoa Tran and Brandon Gouin for presenting today at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD)!
Khoa's presentation was titled "Fishing For Social Inequities: An Exploration Of The Sexual And Oriental In Les Pêcheurs De Perles" and Brandon's was "Finding Accessible Performance Options In The Instrumental Theater Canon."
Khoa's research was also recently published in the

We're excited to announce a key enhancement to the Tableau Financial Dashboards: Budget
Transaction Details.
Summary Dashboards:
· On
the Budget to Actuals Dashboards (3B & 3C) users can now drill down on an
account or account group and select “Budget Adjustments Detail” to pull up a new
dashboard displaying all Budget Adjustments for the selected chart-string
Detail Dashboards:
· New
Budget Details Dashboard allows users to select dates and chart-string information and see
all corresponding Budget Transactions, including the original budget lines.
Be sure to follow this page and the Rex
