The team at the ABCEI has located knowledgeable entrepreneurs to present on important topics to help YOU learn more about entrepreneurship. You don't want to miss any of these incredible events! In addition, the ABCEI will be hosting the Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC)!
This year, the Center will offer 2 tracks: The Technology and Innovation Track and The Social Impact Track. Winners in each track will win up to $3,000 with an opportunity to win an additional $2,000 after a 6 month progress review. Here are the important dates to remember:
- Deadline for idea submissions: February 26 at 1pm
- Final Event: April 11 from 7 - 9pm

Spring 2024 Multicultural Leadership Experience (MLE)

Applications for the Spring '24 MLE Cohort can be found HERE.
The Multicultural Leadership Experience (MLE) is a collaboration between Campus Life and Initiatives for Identity Inclusion & Belonging (i3B), that seeks to:
Engage participants in a multicultural development and leadership learning program;
Enhance participants' understanding of their social identities, leader identity, as well as their capacity to lead;
And enable participants' development through authenticity, self-awareness, relationships, and capitalizing on difference.
The sessions are as follows:
- Meeting #1: Monday, February 12th, 3pm - 4:30pm
- Meeting #2: Monday, February 19th, 3pm - 4:30pm
- Meeting #3: Monday, March 4th, 3pm - 4:30pm
- Meeting #4: Monday, March 25th, 3pm - 4:30pm
- Meeting #5: Monday, April 8th, 3pm - 4:30pm
- Meeting #6: Monday, April 22nd, 3pm - 4:30pm
- Meeting #7: Monday, May 6th, 3pm - 5:30pm
***All sessions will take place in The Commons (room location will be specified in a Google calendar invite)***
Participants will be exploring the concept of Authentic Leadership, Legacy Building, and Breaking Barriers of White Supremacy within Leadership. We will do this in a leadership learning cohort by:
- Enhancing participants' leader identity and leadership capacity using an identity-conscious lens and student development theories;
- Increasing participants' awareness of their personal abilities, identity development, and intersections that shape their story through authenticity, self-reflection, and cultural humility;
- Exploring the role they play in developing relationships while building intra/intercultural connections;
- And capitalizing on their differences, specifically in relation to their racial, ethnic, national, and other salient identity social groups
The purpose of all MLE programs is to provide a space for students and student leaders who identify within diverse or marginalized backgrounds to discover their own capacity to lead, while also promoting a better understanding of their experiences, issues, strengths, and outcomes in navigating their own collegiate careers. However, ALL students are welcome to apply!
