Role description: The Lighting Designer will design and program lighting cues for an upcoming Bmore Broadway Live theatrical production. The Lighting Designer will use lights to communicate time, place, and mood, and direct audience attention, collaborating with the Director, Set Designer, and Costume Designer to tell the story of the piece.

As we commemorate today in his honor, let us not forget the sacrifices Dr. King made in his fight for racial equality and civil rights to ensure that we all have the ability to be ourselves and to be treated equally, respectfully, and most importantly, humanely.

As Dr. King's words remind us, "Change does not roll on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle." Dr. King embraced an interracial, interfaith, and intercultural approach to forge strong partnerships, bridge divides, and usher in change. This is a roadmap for how we can individually and collectively live out our shared value of inclusive excellence.

ECON 493 credit is available, and you could do an URCAD presentation too.

Proposed team, resumes, writing/research project sample for each team member, statement of interest stating why you want to do this, that the team will have the time to work on this (if you have 6 courses and an internship this Spring you probably do not have time), and the team has the skill set needed. I can look up transcripts.

I will work with the one team that shows the strongest combination of: transcripts (courses and GPA), a convincing statement of interest, and preferably at least one team member I already know who had ECON 374 or 475 with me with an A grade.

SECRETARY UPDATE

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our current secretary, M Kidwell, will be taking a gap semester. Despite this, they are still able to fulfill their duties as a board member. As a board, we want to gauge the opinions of the club on what to do moving forward. 

This is the exact statement in the bylaws regarding this situation: 

"If a board member will be absent in their spring semester (graduation, study abroad, leaving the university, etc), an election should be held about halfway through the semester to allow time for the newly elected to shadow the previous board member" 

M is not leaving the university and is still an undergraduate student. Since this bylaw is unclear about what to do in this situation, we want to gather opinions from our club members. The form is linked below.

Please note that this bylaw will be undergoing changes in the future.
