    <h4>Join Us at the Dialogue Symposium!</h4>
    <h6></h6>
    <p>We are thrilled to invite you to the <a href="https://csjdialogue.umbc.edu/the-dialogue-symposium-bringing-colleges-and-communities-together/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Dialogue Symposium: Bringing Campus and Communities Together</a>, a unique space to explore how dialogue can deepen connection, foster inclusion, and shape the way we work together across campuses and communities. This event will feature interactive sessions, hands-on workshops, peer-led exchanges, and kick off with a dynamic keynote fishbowl conversation you won't want to miss. <a href="https://umbc.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3qT4mFIw7bWNZFY" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Register today!</a></p>
    <h5>Meet Our Keynote Speakers</h5>
    <h6></h6>
    <p>We're honored to present a distinguished group of leaders whose work advances dialogue, inclusion, and community engagement:</p>
    <ul><li>Dr. Felipe Filomeno — Professor of Political Science and Director of the Global Studies Program at UMBC. His interdisciplinary work on immigration, civic engagement, dialogue, and human development brings a global and community-centered lens to the conversation</li></ul>
    <ul><li>Dr. Bridget Turner-Kelly — Associate Professor in Student Affairs at the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Turner-Kelly's expertise in student development and campus community building highlights how dialogue supports belonging and transformational learning.</li></ul>
    <ul>
    <li><p>Rhonda Fitzgerald — Executive Director of the Sustained Dialogue Institute, where she brings decades of leadership to efforts empowering campuses and communities to use sustained dialogue for conflict transformation and inclusive engagement.</p></li>
    <li><p>Dr. Brighid Dwyer — Vice Dean for Academic Excellence &amp; Engagement at the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts &amp; Sciences and Vice Chair of the Difficult Dialogues National Resource Center Board. Dr. Dwyer brings decades of leadership in higher education and intergroup dialogue, offering insight into structural and educational approaches to inclusive campus climates.</p></li>
    </ul>
    <h5>What Makes This Keynote Special?</h5>
    <h6></h6>
    <p>Instead of a traditional panel, our keynote will be presented as a fishbowl conversation — a structured, participatory dialogue method in which a small group discusses key questions in the center while others observe and engage. This format allows for vibrant, inclusive exchange and reflects the very principles of active listening and shared meaning-making that dialogue advocates. </p>
    <p>Whether you're new to dialogue or an experienced practitioner, this conversation will offer rich insights into the benefits and challenges of dialogue as a campus and community approach, and create space for reflection, connection, and shared learning.</p>
    <h5>Don't Miss Out — Register Today!</h5>
    <h6></h6>
    <p>Spaces are limited, and interest is growing. Whether you're an administrator, educator, student, facilitator, or community member, this symposium offers opportunities to build skills, connect with peers, and be part of shaping dialogue practice across our region.</p>
    <p>Register now and be part of this engaging, thought-provoking event! Link to register: <a href="https://umbc.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3qT4mFIw7bWNZFY" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">https://umbc.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3qT4mFIw7bWNZFY</a></p>

     Center (DEVCOM GVSC)</h2>
    <p>The
     U.S. National Science Foundation and the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities
    Development Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center (DEVCOM GVSC) have
    partnered to issue a <a href="https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.nsf.gov%2Ffunding%2Fopportunities%2Fdcl-national-science-foundation-translation-practice-nsf-ttp%3Futm_medium=email%26utm_source=govdelivery/1/0101019bbd72eb42-10dcf516-17ef-4106-ba13-8c5b6ee56924-000000/e8pVQVxSUh4hXT3pweSJiftrdOw0n2MYq1OAmlfOrB8=440" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Dear Colleague Letter (DCL)</a> seeking
     proposals to advance cutting-edge scientific discovery, provide
    technological innovation and transition knowledge products to empower
    U.S. Army capabilities.</p>
    <p>Proposers should tailor their use-inspired research and translation projects towards national security and/or national defense.</p>
    <p>This
     DCL specifically seeks projects that are aligned with six core
    competencies: survivability and protection; robotics and autonomy; power
     and mobility; additive manufacturing; fuel and lubricants; and
    modeling, simulation and software development. In addition, projects
    should deliver on DEVCOM GVSC research initiatives and work toward
    developing, integrating, enhancing and sustaining DEVCOM GVSC
    capabilities to support U.S. Army modernization priorities and improve
    readiness.</p>
    <p>"We
     look forward to supporting the U.S. Army and providing pathways to
    innovation to secure our nation's defense," said Erwin Gianchandani, NSF
     assistant director for <a href="https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.nsf.gov%2Ftip%2Flatest%3Futm_medium=email%26utm_source=govdelivery/1/0101019bbd72eb42-10dcf516-17ef-4106-ba13-8c5b6ee56924-000000/tjfnJ5nURgpiBMJ3vQEpFiXsj-UuhBtFPv6GaE_B1ys=440" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Technology, Innovation and Partnerships</a>.
     "This opportunity underscores how essential science and technology
    advancements are to our nation, not only for global competitiveness but
    for national security as well."</p>
    <p>The DEVCOM GVSC funding opportunity is offered through the NSF <a href="https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.nsf.gov%2Ftip%2Flatest%3Futm_medium=email%26utm_source=govdelivery/2/0101019bbd72eb42-10dcf516-17ef-4106-ba13-8c5b6ee56924-000000/NHtJ8682qYfUPomtH2ViOaJBByDAwppU1tf0G-_mCKY=440" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships,</a> which recently launched the new <a href="https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.nsf.gov%2Ffunding%2Fopportunities%2Fnsf-ttp-national-science-foundation-translation-practice%2Fnsf25-540%2Fsolicitation%3Futm_medium=email%26utm_source=govdelivery/1/0101019bbd72eb42-10dcf516-17ef-4106-ba13-8c5b6ee56924-000000/bbIAGdJkEjQr3pkS_ilhXIQLx1649Ui6Tca29T4lJPs=440" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Translation to Practice (NSF TTP)</a> program. Projects should:</p>
    <ul>
    <li>Identify
     and support the initiation of use-inspired research and initial
    translational activities enabling a continuum from foundational research
     to practice.</li>
    <li>Develop
     partnerships and collaborations that include traditional (academic) and
     nontraditional entities. These sustainable partnerships will accelerate
     the transfer of technology by ensuring that needs and opportunities are
     appropriately addressed.</li>
    <li>Promote
     and advance the education and training of students and postdoctoral
    researchers, avoiding undue geographic concentration of funding and
    encouraging the participation of all Americans.</li>
    <li>Identify future customer needs and opportunities. </li>
    </ul>
    <p>"Through
     this collaboration with NSF, we are building a pathway to accelerate
    the maturation and transition of innovative fundamental research that
    shortens technology development timelines and delivers critical
    capabilities to the soldier faster," said David Gorsich, chief scientist
     for U.S. Army DEVCOM GVSC.</p>
    <p>The
     NSF TTP program will consider proposals that are responsive to the core
     competencies and interests of the DEVCOM GVSC across all three tracks
    of the NSF TTP program solicitation.</p>

    <p>Additionally,
     the TTP program will consider proposals that are responsive to the core
     competencies and interests of NSWCDD across all three tracks of the
    program solicitation. The three TTP program tracks are:</p>
    <ul>
    <li>
    Explore funds adventurous, "high-risk" use-inspired
    activities, bridging the gap between fundamental scientific curiosity
    and a practical desire to address real-world problems. Proposers must
    have a current NSF award and be interested in transitioning the
    foundational research to "use-inspired" activities.</li>
    <li>
    Translate funds translating prior research results into
     technological innovations with promising commercial, economic and/or
    societal impacts. This track starts with use-inspired research and
    further matures ideas, iterates and improves solutions, ensures
    scalability and accessibility and lowers the barriers to effective
    translation.</li>
    <li>
    Partner funds complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational teams pursuing translational development projects. Strategic
     partnerships with stakeholders beyond their universities and research
    organizations are the essential ingredients for success and may include
    industry, government entities at all levels, philanthropies or other
    groups associated with large-scale productization and distribution.</li>
    </ul>
