<Title>Tom Beck, Chief Curator, in the Baltimore Sun and Republican American</Title>

    <p>Tom Beck, Chief Curator, Library &amp; Gallery, was recently quoted in <a href="http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/arts/artsmash/bs-ae-arts-story-0207-20140204,0,449394.story" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">The Baltimore Sun</a> about the Library Gallery’s N. Jay Jaffee exhibit. The exhibit highlights a talented artist who has not received much recognition. “Jaffee never worked as a professional photographer,” says Tom Beck, chief curator at UMBC. “His career was in printing. So it was always a matter of balance between his business and personal obligations, his family. And he never worked very hard at getting exhibitions.”</p>

    </div>I am writing to announce the third, and final, <strong>Treasurer Training session, which will be held this Friday, February 21, 2014, at 4P in Commons 331. </strong><br><div>
    <br><div>
    <div>Please keep in mind that an organization <strong>must </strong>attend Treasurer Training before submitting an Allocation Request Form to the Finance Board. <strong>If you attended Treasurer Training during the Fall 2013 semester and have not changed your President or Treasurer, then you do not need to attend a Spring 2014 Treasurer Training session. </strong>
    </div>
    <div><strong><br></strong></div>
    <div><strong>However, if your organization held elections during Winter 2013 and have changed your Presidents and Treasurers, then you MUST attend Treasurer Training. </strong></div>

    <div><strong>Also, please keep in mind that only Treasurers and/or Presidents can attend a Treasurer Training session. </strong></div>
