A few new advisors would really benefit from having access to this list to reach out to more seasoned advisors for advice and support. I think some of our seasoned advisors are such a great resource to our community and can provide helpful insights. 

If for some reason you're uncomfortable with your name being on this list please let me know and I can remove it. 

At the end of the fall semester I will upload this list under the "documents" tab on the myUMBC page.

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is pleased to announce that the application for the 2014-2015 academic year scholarships (summer 2014, fall 2014, and spring 2015) opened November 18! Applications can be accessed via: http://www.fundforeducationabroad.com/applicants/

Scholarships are offered up to $5,000 per semester and are not limited to specific programs, destinations, or fields of study.  FEA awards funds to students planning to study abroad on academically rigorous programs with a
strong preference for underrepresented students.  In addition to their general
scholarships, FEA also awards the the Rainbow Scholarship, awarded to a deserving LGBTQ student who aims to participate in an education abroad program.

The deadline for all FEA scholarship applications is January 17, 2014.

On Friday, November 22nd starting at 2pm LDAP Master and Webadmin will be taken down for system maintenance.  During this time account creations and password changes will be unavailable.  Account authentication and logins will not be affected during this downtime.  

The maintenance window will allow staff to apply needed security and application updates.  The outage window is expected to last two hours with services being restored by 4pm on Friday, November 22nd.  

During the outage window account creations will be queued and then processed upon restoration of services.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Technology Support Center at x53838.
