The Web Notification Working Group has published a Last Call Working Draft of Web Notifications. Web notifications defines an API for end-user notifications. A notification allows alerting the user outside the context of a web page of an occurrence, such as the delivery of email. Comments are welcome through 24 October. This specification provides an API for representing file objects in web applications, as well as programmatically selecting them and accessing their data. The grades should now appear in the Grade Center under the column "New Grade".
To modify the column name, or the grade format click on the chevrons (action arrows) to the right of the column name and select Edit Column Information. Replace New Grade with the appropriate column name, and under Primary Display, choose Score and click Submit. The column information will now be updated.

The purpose of the Second Generation Scholarship Award is to provide support to outstanding UMBC undergraduates who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of minorities. The amount of the scholarship varies from year to year.
For the 2013-2014 academic year, two $1,000 scholarship will be given. The recipients will be notified in early November and the awards will be formally presented at the W.E.B. Dubois Lecture on November 13, 2013. Attendance at the lecture is mandatory.
The student selected to receive this award should:

UMBC provides hosting for personal webpages on userpages.umbc.edu. This environment provides basic PHP support for those that choose to use it.
Note: DoIT provides no direct support for individuals who need help with website development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.), instead we refer you to the many free, online documentation and tutorial sites.
To make your website viewable, you'll need to run the following command on any GL server:
/usr/afsws/bin/fs sa www system:anyuser rl
You can find instructions for how to run the command by following the steps here. Just replace the command in step 5 with the one listed above.
By default, this web address will show a directory listing of files. If you would prefer to show the contents of one of your uploaded HTML or PHP files by default, simply rename that file to index.html or index.php
