(Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is a great place to<br>work, and a fantastic place to make a difference in our community!)<br>Currently, I'm looking to hire folks for 4 different positions:<br><br>1)      Site Coordinator (20 hours a week, 9:30-1:30, in Columbia,<br>Howard County) to oversee the distribution of meals to homebound elderly<br>and disabled community members (while ensuring cleanliness &amp; food<br>safety, and maintaining the site), oversee our wonderful volunteers, and<br>help us identify clients who need additional services.  The successful<br>candidate must have:  Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to<br>interact well with elderly and disabled adults; the ability to interact<br>well with volunteers; the ability to speak, read and write English<br>fluently (fluency in additional languages a plus); the ability to<br>maintain accurate records; the ability to stand for extended periods and<br>lift (up to 40 lbs.) while working; a H.S. diploma; a valid driver's<br>license (with no more than 2 points) and access to a dependable personal<br>vehicle;  the ability to pass criminal background check and drug<br>screening; plus some knowledge of food handling/sanitation/safety with<br>the willingness to obtain ServSafe Certification.<br><br>2)      Substitute Site Coordinators to fill in for individuals on a<br>short term or long term basis on an as-needed basis. (Hours vary<br>according to organizational need. When needed, hours are 9:30 - 1:30 or<br>8:30-1:30.) Locations throughout central Maryland. <Title>Eric Zeemering named Fulbright Canada Scholar</Title>

    <p>Dr. Eric Zeemering, an assistant professor of public policy, has been named a 2013-14 Fulbright Scholar by Fulbright Canada. He will spend five months at the University of Ottawa investigating how urban sustainability is defined in Canadian cities, with special attention on how social policy and programs are integrated with economic and environmental initiatives.</p>
    <p>Dr. Zeemering’s research and teaching interests focus on public management, intergovernmental relations and urban policy (see video below).</p>
