How do I add a Blackboard tool link menu button?

Tell me

  1. Make sure Edit Mode is on
  2. Point to the Add Menu Item ,  + icon button at the top left of your screen
  3. Select the  Tool Link option
  4. Type the name of the Tool Link Menu button in the Name text box
  5. Use the Type drop-down menu to select the Blackboard tool link button
  6. Check the Available to Users box, to make the tool menu item available to users. To make the tool menu item unavailable leave the Available to Users unchecked.
  7. Click the Submit button

NOTE: Make sure Edit Mode is ON . The Edit Mode control is located in the top far-right of the course page.
  1. On the left menu, click the blue plus icon at the top left (just above the course name).
  2. Choose Create Content Area from the drop down menu.
  3. Enter the name of the new content area (For example, Course Documents, or Syllabus).
  4. Click on the Available to Users checkbox if this content area should be seen by students. Note: a content area is automatically invisible to students until you add content to the page.
  5. Click Submit. The new link appears at the bottom of the menu

Answer

Most article indexes do not go back very far online. To find older articles, you will need to use a print index, such as the Readers' guide to periodical literature. Also you may check library journal catalog to find out the old print journals we own. Print indexes are available on the lower level of the library.

Tell me

  1. Click Manage
  2. Click the chevron/ double-headed arrow pointing down/ Action Link menu
  3. Select Column Organization
  4. Select the check boxes of the Grade Center columns to be hidden
  5. Click Show/Hide
  6. Select Hide Selected Columns from the Action Link menu (warning) Hidden columns will appear grayed out on the Organize Grade Center page
  7. Click Submit to save changes - this will hide the column from the instructor in the gradecenter;  students will still see the column name in  My Grades.
  8. To hide a column  from students, down arrow by the column name in the gradecenter and choose show/hide from user
