The process for completing your FAR via Digital Measures remains the same as with the previous FAR.  After completing the required sections in Digital Measures, we are asking that you print the FAR within Digital Measures, sign it and turn it in for review.  This does not change.

The FAR deadline is April 11th.

 

Tell Me

  1. From the Digital Measure Home Page, click Run Custom Reports.

  2. Select Annual Faculty Activity Report from the drop down menu.
  3. Click Select Report.
  4. Confirm the date range as January 1, 2012 - December 31, 2012.
  5. Click Build Report.
  6. The report will run and prompt you to Open or Save the report in the file format selected.  Open the report.
  7. Print the report, sign it and turn it in for review.

During the past two months there has been an increase in spam to the campus. Analysis of the mail logs has shown that much of this increase can be attributed to mail being sent to and from legacy email domains (see below) that are no longer used.

NOTE: Only the email domains below will be affected by this change. Email sent to username@umbc.edu and previously exempted email domains will remain unaffected.

Legacy Email Domains to Be Discontinued on April 4, 2013

In some situations these legacy email domains may have been published thus making continued delivery important to an individual. If you would like to continue delivery of one or more of these legacy email domains please submit a ticket requesting your email be exempted from the changes going into effect on April 4, 2013.

If you would like to request continued delivery to one or more of the five legacy email domains please submit an RT (Request Tracker) ticket via my.umbc.edu/help or contact UMBC’s Technology Support Center at 410.455.3838.

Tell Me

  1. Log in to myUMBC.
  2. Click the Alerts tab (the bell icon) at the top of the screen.
  3. Click the Setup e2campus Alerts link under Emergency Alerts.
  4. Select the Services tab from the menu at the top of the screen.
  5. In the Phone field, enter your mobile phone number.
  6. Select your carrier from the drop down menu to the right.
  7. Click Add SMS.
  8. The Omnilert system will send a validation code to your mobile phone. You will need to enter the code in the Validation Code box on the website.
  9. After entering the code, click the Validate button.
  10. If successful, Omnilert will show a green box stating Code Successfully Validated.
