As the semester wraps up and final deadlines approach, managing stress can become increasingly difficult. Whether you're a student, faculty, or staff member, the demands can be overwhelming—especially if you're also volunteering to make a difference.

The Gritty Kitties Self-Care Guide is here to support our dedicated volunteers in navigating the emotional challenges of animal rescue while prioritizing their well-being. This guide offers a variety of strategies for stress management, emotional regulation, and burnout prevention. From deep breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques to self-compassion practices and social support, the guide provides tools for managing stress in the moment and reconnecting with your purpose. With these practices, you can thrive both in your rescue work and in your personal life.

- You’ll have access to your own full private bathroom and master bedroom. 

- For added peace of mind, all bedrooms and doors have locks, and there’s security surveillance on the outside of the home.

- There’s a designated parking space in front of the house with cameras that you’re welcome to access or monitor.

- The rent is $950 per month (includes all utilities and maintenance expenses).
