Change: Turning Uncertainty into Opportunity
Updated Fall 2024 Opportunities!
Change happens all the time, whether we choose it, or it chooses us. Changes in leadership, priorities, structures and processes, like those that we have seen at UMBC, can be challenging, each initiating a transition that requires us to look beneath processes to understand the human side of change. In the end, it's our people who will make change happen and we need the right combination of knowledge, skills, and strategies, as well as a common language to understand, cope with, and adapt to change.
Introducing the FranklinCovey Change: How to Turn Uncertainty into Opportunity Program. This engaging learning experience will provide practical skills and strategies to help us understand and manage our reactions, learn how to navigate change both functionally and emotionally, and will introduce a model that makes the change process predictable. Modules are included for different populations, both individual contributors as well as managers and leaders who need to proactively lead and support their people.
There are three options for programming:
- 3-Part Program for Managers & Leaders (6 hr. overall program)
- Change Conversations - For Individual Contributors & Leaders (2 hr. programs)
- Change Book Discussion (1 hr./week, 5 weeks)

Quaint, tucked away studio apartment inside the family's home - separate, above the garage. Personal kitchen and full bath, in this luxurious room. Lots of wall and ceiling light comes in through raised ceilings.
Access to shared pool in back yard oasis.
Separate, private entrance into house, but also nicely integrated into the house for ease of laundry use. Family living on this large property includes a husband, wife, 3 kids and 2 sweet dogs.
Family purchased this home in the summer of 2022 and enjoy having one other person live here, since there's plenty of space to go around! Family has 2 other rentals locally, and has strong reputation in the local community. The currently occupying tenant for last two years has been great but is moving out of state for work.
Offering this as a long-term rental, ideally to a UMBC student or local professional. Seeking male or female - couples not preferred - although will consider on case-by-case basis. (utilities would be higher)
Will perform background and financial checks as part of the application, just FYI.
Utilities include: heating, cooling, internet, trash, lawn care, and water.
All for only $150/month.
Private driveway you can share with the family. Place for 1 car plus 1 spot for when your guests come over.
