The Maryland Center for History and Culture is seeking a reliable and motivated intern to help the Education team update our Traveling Trunk program with a focus on the Revolutionary War and Colonial Maryland trunks. This includes supporting the revision of lesson plans and object selection in the thematic trunks to align with school curriculum, DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion) objectives, and updated historical scholarship. It also means reevaluating the use of space in the trunk. The intern will have opportunities to explore our collections, conduct research, and impact education programming. This can include the option of delivering school tours related to Colonial Maryland and Revolutionary War topics. Additionally, the intern will gain valuable experience related to program development and varied approaches to museum education.
