Recently the Registrar's Office placed Fall 2024 advising holds on undergraduate student accounts.

COEIT Advisors will start scheduling Fall 2024 advising meetings in early March.

COEIT Advisors will not be meeting with students at this time to provide advising clearance. Please do not make Advising Clearance appointments at this time, those appointments may be cancelled.

Students that have recently passed their gateway will have a faculty advisor assigned, and must see that advisor for advising clearance.

An announcement will be made when advisors will start accepting Advising Clearance appointments and faculty advisors have been assigned.

First Lego League is looking for volunteers on Saturday, February 24th from 9am to 5pm. They are looking to fill a variety of roles and volunteers will receive FLL t-shirts as well as free breakfast and lunch. See the attached flyer to learn more and sign up at www.firstinspires.org. For seniors looking to receive cords, this First Lego League event will be one of the last opportunities to earn all of your service hours in one event. 
As a reminder, the requirements to receive cords are: 
1. Attend at least 3 GBMs this spring semester.
2. Contribute at least 3 volunteer/service hours to ASME this spring semester.

If you have another obligation during our GBMs, you can request to have additional service hours count toward the GBM requirement, but GBMs cannot be used towards the service hour limit. For example, 5 service hours and 1 GBM is acceptable, but 1 service hour and 5 GBMs is not.

Following the earlier advisory regarding the winter weather conditions in our region, we would like to provide you with an update on UMBC Transit operations.

We are pleased to inform you that we are operating on our regular schedule for Saturday, February 17, 2024, and no delays are expected. Our team is closely monitoring road conditions, and we will continue to assess the situation on an hourly basis.

We understand the importance of keeping you informed and want to reassure you that your safety is our top priority. If there are any changes to our schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will promptly communicate updates on our route inclement weather advisories.
