Register for 2023 PROMISE Summer Success Institute Professional Development & Networking Event Hola Familia! 

We are invited to register for the 2023 PROMISE Summer Success Institute (SSI)! 

This conference is organized by PROMISE, dear supporters of our organization. 

This event will be hosted at our UMBC Campus in the Performing Arts and Humanities Building on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. 

SSI Supports professional development, encouragement, motivation, career advice, peer support, and camaraderie particularly for underrepresented graduate students and postdocs in STEM fields.  

Our board member Florence went last year, she said she met a lot of great people and was able to build meaningful connections that have supported her through graduate school. 

To ensure attendance, there will be a $25 deposit per ticket that is payable via credit or debit card. Upon attendance the deposit (minus the transaction fee) will be reimbursed.

Dear Colleagues, 

Last night, a change was made to both the Finance and HR Peoplesoft systems to update the encryption keys used between a user's computer and the server. Generally these updates don't cause any disruptions. After this update, however, some users are receiving a "Bad Request" error when trying to log in. This issue can be resolved by clearing your web browser's cache. For instructions on how to do this, please see our FAQ: How do I delete cookies, cache, and temporary Internet files from my web browser?.
