2023 NSF CAREER Program Informational Webinars May 15th & May 25th

NSF is providing information on the NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) program solicitation NSF 22-586 at webinars on Monday, May 15, and Thursday, May 25, 2023, starting at 3:00 PM Eastern time each day. 

The NSF-wide CAREER program supports early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-career faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.

Both webinars will include the same briefing on the CAREER program and key solicitation requirements followed by a question and answer session. (Faculty who are interested need to attend only one.)

Happy Monday, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the weather.

We are rescheduling our normal Monthly meeting from tomorrow to next Tuesday, 5/16.  

We decided this would be a better time allowing staff to attend HR week programs.  Tomorrow morning there are two sessions that will likely provide value to our positions, at 10:00am HR Hiring Hacks: How to Accelerate Your Recruitment and at 11:00am Discovering your Work Life Balance.

I apologize for the short notice of the date change and hope the new date works with everyone's schedule.  The agenda for next week will consist of Senate voting results and discussions about ideas for topics we would like to explore next year.

We are conducting a research study on the adoption and use of health technologies among adult sexual and gender minorities. The purpose of this study is to better understand the experiences of individuals in this community who use health technologies such as mobile health apps, wearable devices, and telehealth services.

 

If you self-identify as a sexual or gender minority and are 18 years or older, we invite you to participate in this study by completing a brief 10–20-minute survey. By participating in this study, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences and provide valuable insights that will help us understand the digital health experiences and needs of your community.
