Teaching in the new age of AI Humans with AI: hypes and hopes

Teaching in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities: Thursday, April 27, 2023, 4:30 pm EST

CUSF through the Ed Policy committee is sponsoring a town hall on Teaching in the Age of Artificial Intelligence Challenges and Opportunities. Our own Professor Tim Finin with AI experience spanning 50 years will be on the panel. Here is the call to attend written by UMBC along with a questionnaire also prepared by UMBC: In this lively town hall, our expert panelists will discuss how Al will affect higher education, what you need to know to embrace, extend, and enable this development for innovative teaching and learning, and what the future holds for humans with Al.

It's almost the end of the semester and I know we are all starting to feel the crunch. There's a lot going on and I just want to remind everyone that in the next few weeks we will be doing some voting for officers and on constitutional changes for the upcoming year.

Tomorrow, 4/17, we will be meeting to talk about where the club is and where we want to go as a club. We will be looking at our current constitution and taking suggestions for revision. Also we will be going over voting and elections information for the upcoming year.

Also we finally have a GroupMe set up for better communication for club events and news. The link to join will be provided below and anyone is welcome to join the GroupMe.

GroupMe Link: https://groupme.com/join_group/93187979/vu2Y1cXp

Lastly I also want to highlight an upcoming lecture this Thursday, 4/20, highlighting Collaborative Practices in Archaeology. The flyer for the lecture will be linked below.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow!
