Three UMBC guys, one recent graduate, one grad student, and one undergrad live here. The room is available now. House is fully furnished so you don't need to bring anything. Large finished basement with a half bath, main floor has couches, big wooden farmhouse table, eat in kitchen, and deck. Top floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Basement room has its own half bath but showers upstairs. 

Outside the room is a large open common area, plus the first floor has a very large common area too. You'll have a lot of room to spread out.

Queen bed comes with the room.

Student Virtual Parking Permits Now Available! 
Dear Students,
 
UMBC virtual parking permits are now available for all new and returning students. All students are required to activate a new virtual on-campus parking permit each August. Please do not sign up for a visitor account; UMBC does not issue parking permits for visitors.
Parking enforcement will begin on August 31; those who park on campus without a valid permit will be issued a citation.
 
Registering your vehicle is not the same as getting a permit. Once vehicles are registered, please click on the "Get Permit" button. Parking permits must be renewed every August prior to the start of the new academic year. You may register up to three vehicles. However, you may only have one vehicle on campus at a time. Once you have registered your vehicle, please click on the "Get Permit" button. Failure to complete this step means no permit has been issued to you and as a result, you may be issued a citation.

As part of our ongoing commitment to security, the Unix Infrastructure group will be conducting its quarterly system patching on Friday, August 19th.  While many of the systems will be patched without any service disruption, there are some systems which require the downtime of key services.  The schedule below outlines which key services will be offline and for how long.

Friday, 8/19/2022 between 5pm and 10pm (most systems will only be down for a short period during this time):

  • Access to Cyrus (legacy) email (accounts not migrated to UMBC Gmail)
    • All mail will be queued up and delivered after the server is patched
  • All HFS (afs) servers - gl.umbc.edu home directories will be offline
  • Between 9:00pm and 10pm only: Certain software licenses will be unavailable (autodesk, cadence, idl, schrodinger, xilinx, mathematica). 
  • Between 9:00pm and 10pm only: The web hosting environments (virthost) will be partially unavailable (pages will be available but any database calls will not work)
  • Between 5:00pm and 6:30pm only: LDAP-Master and Webadmin will be taken down for system maintenance.  During this time account creations and password changes will be unavailable.  Account authentication and logins will not be affected.
  • Between 9:00pm and 10pm only: myUMBC lite page will be up resulting in reduced myUMBC functionality
  • Wiki will be unavailable
