2022 Service-Learning & Civic Engagement Conference

<Tagline>Tuesday, 4/5 & Wed. 4/6 - FREE and VIRTUAL!</Tagline>

Some have known about this event since 2008 when Dr. Diane Lee first supported the Shriver Living Learning Community who planned "Solutions Through Service," co-sponsored by the Baltimore Collegetown Network. The event has evolved over the years in size, scope, and location. In 2009, the University of Baltimore hosted, and the Planning Committee renamed the event the Service-Learning & Civic Engagement (SLCE) Conference, at which time the now Campus-Compact Mid-Atlantic got involved. The last in-person event was held in November 2019 at the University of Maryland, College Park. UMBC had a strong representation: presenters, awardees, and attendees. For more info on the UMBC's history with the event, visit https://midatlantic.compact.org/events-6/slce-conference/slce-conference-history/

Did you have more than one great candidate from your job
search? Help out other departments with
their recruitment needs and bring great people to UMBC.

Please mark your alternate candidate(s) with the new
referral flag once you have made a final selection for your search. HR Recruitment will review the marked
finalists and invite them to apply for similar positions on campus.

We have made a change to the flags in PageUp, so that you
can indicate a great alternate candidate that you'd like to refer to another
    department. On the applicant card,
simply select "flags" and then select the checkered flag to indicate that this
would be a fantastic applicant for another similar position.

HR will invite the "checkered flag" candidate to apply to
other open similar positions at UMBC. The flag is most helpful for common
positions across areas such as administrative assistant, business specialist,
accounting associate, business manager, facilities coordinator, etc.

(Please note that the "invite for interview" flag is now a
    red telephone.)
