The month is dedicated to raising awareness about the effectiveness of evidence-based treatments, reducing stigma, and removing barriers to recovery.

Whether you are seeking support, caring for a loved one, or working as a provider, this is an opportunity to learn, share resources, and take action. SAMHSA's Substance Use Disorder Treatment Month toolkit includes free materials such as social media graphics, suggested messaging, virtual backgrounds, and educational resources to help amplify this important message.

Treatment works, and recovery is possible. Join the movement by accessing the engaging with SAMHSA's resources and toolkits and supporting awareness efforts throughout the month.

Last spring, our community took part in a Community, Engagement, and Belonging survey, led by the Division of Institutional Equity and its vice president, Tanyka Barber. We hope you will join us and the Rankin Climate team to hear results from the survey on Monday, February 9. The presentation will highlight what we are doing well and where challenges remain, helping us better understand the perceptions of our learning, living, and working environments related to sense of community, engagement, and empowerment across faculty, staff, and student bodies. The presentation is an important step in ensuring our university continues to be a place where all individuals feel supported and able to thrive.
