Kevin Maxwell ’02, has been appointed chief executive officer of Prince George’s public schools. As CEO, Maxwell will be tasked with turning around the struggling school system and closing the achievement gap so it is more aligned with surrounding county systems.

The Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) Working Group has published a Last Call Working Draft of CSS Fonts Module Level 3. This CSS3 module describes how font properties are specified and how font resources are loaded dynamically. The contents of this specification are a consolidation of content previously divided into CSS3 Fonts and CSS3 Web Fonts modules. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (WCAG WG) today published a completed Working Draft of Guidance on Applying WCAG 2.0 to Non-Web Information and Communications Technologies (WCAG2ICT). After the comments from this review period are addressed, WAI expects to publish this as an informative (that is, non-normative) W3C Working Group Note.
