        </div>
    <h2>Tell Me</h2>
    <ul>
    <li>After a course has been approved and loaded into the schedule of classes, Blackboard will automatically create a course shell<ul><li>INDP study courses will NOT be created automatically. Please <span><a href="http://my.umbc.edu/go/blackboardrequest" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">submit a request</a> to DoIT</span> </li></ul>
    </li>
    <li>The instructor of record will be automatically loaded as the faculty member for the course. </li>
    <li>The course ID will be the department code and number, followed by the section and semester (EX: ART101_1234_FA2013).<span> </span>
    </li>
    <li>The official course shell will remained “mapped” to the Registrars system.<span>  </span>Every time a student is enrolled or added to the course, the student will automatically be added to the Blackboard shell (there may be up to a four hour delay).<span>  </span>There will be no automated process for students who drop out of a course.</li>
    <li>Instructors who want to split/merge the course sections must <a href="http://my.umbc.edu/go/blackboardrequest" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">submit a request</a> to DoIT</li>
    <li>Course shells will be unavailable to the students until the instructors <a href="https://wiki.umbc.edu/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=1867862" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">make them available</a>.</li>
