4. Click the Subscriptions link
5. Click Add News Feed in the External Content section
6. Enter a title for this new feed
7. Click the feed agreement
8. Click the drop down option in the Kind of Feed and select YouTube
9. Enter your YouTube username
10. Click the Post Feed button

To start watching a space:

1. Go to a page in the space and choose Browse > Advanced

2. In the left-hand panel, click Start watching this space (or Start watching all content)

To stop watching a space:

1. Go to a page in the space and choose Browse > Advanced

2. In the left-hand panel, click Stop watching this space

Watching a Page or Article

To start watching a page or blog post:

1. Go to the page or blog post
2. Choose Tools >  Watch

To stop watching a page or blog post:

1. Go to the page or blog post
2. Choose Tools >  Stop watching

• Quickly identify the end of an entry
• Tickets may be worked on by different staff members. It will be good to know who to go to when a ticket owner has a question about what was already done
• Tickets could start in DoIT but could end up being assigned to the Registrars' office. Good to identify which UMBC department has already looked at the ticket.

Situations where you may want to add watchers to a ticket would be:

• Someone who does not have consultant access to your Queue who needs to keep an eye on the progress of a ticket
• Others who have an interest in the progress of a ticket that were not involved in the original request
• When a coordinator needs to be kept in the loop for the progress of all tickets. In this situation, the queue administrator can add this person as a watcher for all tickets

When a small group of people need to respond to a single email address, they are advised to use a generic email address with a shared mailbox or listserv list. RT improves on this by:

• Tracking request history.
• Sorting related tickets into queues.
• Allowing a ticket to be assigned to a given staff member.
• Allowing priorities to be assigned and automatically escalated.
• Sending copies of changes by email to the staff and to the original requestor.
• Consistently using a departmental email address, so that personal staff email addresses are not involved.
• Allowing some changes by email if convenient.
• Using Shibboleth, so no additional passwords need to be remembered.
• Allowing interaction via the Web, with any Web browser. No special client is involved. Further, the original requestor can check the status of his ticket and view appends on the Web.
• Allowing administration -- new queues, ticket assignment, new users, etc. -- to be done directly by a departmental administrator.

Typical departmental usage:

1. • A department might have 2-3 students assistants and a supervisor who answer inquires about admissions. RT would allow the supervisor to assign a given request to a specific student or let any student answer any unassigned request. The supervisor can add or remove students assistants as needed.
   • If the department also provides tech support to its faculty and staff, those requests could be tracked in a separate queue, either using the same email address as used for admission queries or a different one. A different set of staff would review the requests for tech support, and the student assistants answering admissions questions don't have to know about this queue.
   • Additional queues, groups of people, and email addresses can be added, perhaps for classroom support or for a specific classes. Tickets can be moved from one queue to another as needed.

1. Click on the queue which stores the tickets you want to update
2. Click the Bulk Update link
3. Check or un-check tickets that need or don't need the update
4. Apply updates in the Update multiple tickets section
5. Add comments if applicable
6. Click Update

1. From the More Actions drop-down menu, select Share this site
2. In the box below Add people, enter the email addresses of the people you wish to share your site with
3. Choose the level of access you wish to give them. (Anyone you set to Can view can look at the site. Anyone you set to Can edit can change the look and content of the site. Anyone you set to Is owner can change the look and feel of the site as well as make administrative changes, such as deleting the site or adding new owners)
4. The people whose email addresses you added will be sent an automated message when you add them unless you uncheck the box next to Send email notifications. If you choose to send the group a notification, you can add a personalized message. Simply write your message in the box below where you added the email address. You can also opt to have the invitation sent to you as well by checking the box next to Send a copy to myself
5. Click Share

Please note that for invitations to non-public Sites, users will need to sign in with a Google Account before they can accept the invite.

1. Log into your UMBC Gmail account or go to https://sites.google.com/a/umbc.edu and login with your myUMBC username and password
2. Click the third link from the toolbar labeled Sites
3. Click the Create button
4. Enter your site name and the URL where it will be located (for example, sites.google.com/site/yoursite) as well as an optional description of the site. The name and URL you choose can't be changed after you create your site, or used again if the site is deleted
5. Select one of these sharing options: 'Everyone in the world can view this site' or 'Only people I specify can view this site.'
6. Pick a theme for your site
7. Enter the wavy characters in the word verification section, and click the Create site button
