The H. Furlong Baldwin Library at the Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) is offering a paid 12-week archival processing internship starting in January 2025. Sponsored by the Colonial Dames of America (CDA) Chapter I, the intern will arrange and describe the chapter’s archives recently donated to MCHC.

"Perspectives on the Use of Technology for Self-Expression and Its Relationship to Emotion"
We are conducting a study to investigate the emotional effects of self-expression. Participants will be asked to complete questionnaires, perform a task to make a useless artifact out of something useful with provided materials and participate in a semi-structured interview about their experience. Snacks will be provided. If you are willing to participate, the study will take approximately 1 hour to complete.
Your responses will be kept completely confidential and anonymous. Should you choose to provide an email address, we will send you your questionnaire results: personal growth score (PGIS- II) and positive affect negative affect schedule (PANAS) score.

Description: Interested in a career that combines science and art? Join us for a guided tour given by conservators and scientists in the Department of Conservation, Collection and Technical Studies of the Walters Art Museum. During this visit, you will learn about the work being done to preserve the Walters’ collection and will visit three laboratory spaces in the Conservation Lab.
