The counterpart to downloading grades is uploading a CSV file. Instructors who need to use this feature do so to pull in grade data from manual calculations or to upload grades from other tools or services, such as Scantron scores. The November 2018 update to Blackboard will feature a popular request for the gradebook -- uploading a CSV file.

Other new features and enhancements for Ultra courses include:

• Filtering questions by more criteria on the Reuse Questions page for Ultra tests
• Batch editing content for visibility
• Creating percentage-range rubrics
• Expanded views for Conversations
• Additional settings for SCORM content standards and packages

The next update will be posted to our test site around November 13th and pushed to production around December 6th. Faculty who are interested in test driving new features before they are released to production should open an RT ticket to request early access.

For your convince, a Facebook group has been created with the intent of efficiently providing you with updates about the club. If you have a Facebook account, please click here and send a request to join.

Ride On Retrievers!

Just a reminder that our next general body meeting is tomorrow from 12-1 in ITE 239! It'll be a fun one with some Halloween Trivia, so bring your friends :)

Over the weekend, power to the entire campus had to be cut due to an accident off campus. When the campus power was turned off, the emergency power transfer switch in our sub-basement failed to engage, leaving us with no emergency power. Luckily the planned outage was limited to 3 hours, but critical systems on the emergency power were inoperable.

All emergency outlets were non-functional as were building chilled water pumps and access card readers.

Facilities is planning on running multiple tests tomorrow morning from 4:00 - 5:00 AM to determine the cause of the failure. This will entail cutting power to the entire building to assess the operation of the transfer switch.

There will be multiple outages over the test period, so any critical equipment you may have; including desktop computers and monitors should be turned off this evening before you leave for the day.

I will be meeting with facilities tomorrow afternoon to review the findings and and discuss our course of action. I will let everyone know of the findings and keep everyone in the loop as we proceed.

I apologize for the problems caused by this outage. We seemed to encounter the worst case scenario all across the board.

Thank you for your understanding.
