UMBC students, faculty and staff should use their myUMBC user name and password to log onto the library computers. NOTE: Your user name MUST be all lower case. Instructions on how to create an account can be found on How do I create a myUMBC portal account?

How do I create a myUMBC portal account?
Visitors must show a valid government issued photo ID at either the Reference, Circulation, or Media Desks to request a Guest Account in order to use the library computers. Guest Accounts are good for date of issue only and are only valid in the Library.

By assigning a priority level to your orders, you can let Library Acquisitions know which orders are most important to you. This allows Acquisitions to make sound decisions when prioritizing, queuing, or backlogging orders.

You may choose any of three priority levels for orders:

1. Rush orders are usually placed within one or two working days and the items usually arrive within a month. Use this for items needed in 1-2 months. Items purchased this way usually cost more.
2. Priority orders are usually placed within 2 weeks and the items usually arrive within 3 months. Use this for items needed in 3-6 months.
3. Collection Building orders are also usually placed within 2 weeks, but may take much longer. The items also usually arrive in 3-6 months, but may take longer. Use this for quality items for the Library collection.

In order to assign a priority level to your order:

On World Wide Web orders, click the button for the appropriate level when entering your order. If you don't assign a level, your order will automatically be assigned the lowest priority level, "Collection Building".

1. From your site dashboard, click the Pages link from the left hand sidebar. Here, you can view all your pages

2. To edit a page, hover over the title of the page and click the Edit link. Alternatively, to add a new page, click the Add New link at the top of the page

3. The page editor provides a simple yet rich way to create pages for your site

4. Give your page a title, and then edit the large text area to change the contents of your page

5. Locate the Page Attributes box on the right of the page

6. Find the drop-down menu under the Template heading.

7. Several different templates are provided as a way to include dynamic content on the page. Select the appropriate template for your page using the table below as a guide

8. Once you are happy with the way your page looks, click the blue Publish or Update button

(Templates shown below with an asterisk next to the name can only be used on one page):
