When making a transcript request, you have the option to:

a.)    Use our online service with Parchment Ordering Service. Log on to registrar.umbc.edu. Login or create an account. Once you have log on you will see a list of Documents of your choice:

• • Transcripts to Maryland College /University
  •  Electronic PDF Transcript
  •  Paper Transcript - Mail
  •  Paper Transcript - Pick - Up

b.)    Mail a request in writing with a check or money order payable to UMBC Registrar Office, along with your request. Please include the complete mailing address (es), birth date or campus Id.  If you have an attachment. Please make sure you mail your attachment along with your request. Mail your request to UMBC Office of the Registrar, Academic Service, Records Dept., 1000 Hilltop Circle, Baltimore, Maryland 21250

c.)    Come In person to the Registrar’s Office first and pick up a receipt form. Take the receipt form over to the Bursar’s Office in the Administration building on the 3rd floor and make your payment. Bring back your receipt to the Registrar’s Office and pick up your official transcript(s). Must show any type of picture Id.

 Is there a fee for each record?

No, the fee for your transcript is $8.00. It includes your complete record, undergraduate, graduate and continuing education.

To obtain a copy of an official transcript, please visit www.umbc.edu/registrar.

1. From the site's menu bar, select Services>Records.

   You can also find a link under Quick Links. Click on Official Transcript Request

2. Click on the link for Parchment Inc.
3. Click log in or create a new account.

4. If this is your first time using Parchment Inc. you will need to create an account by clicking the Create Account button. Existing users can log in with the email address and password they used to create their account.

   This account is separate from and unrelated to your myUMBC account.

   
   

5. Once you've logged in, click Order Now at the bottom of the page.

Verify / edit your myUMBC role:

1. From the myUMBC page, locate your name in the upper right corner and click once on your name.

2. Select Role from the drop down menu.

3. Locate the Active Role and Default role drop down values.  You will want to change both settings.

4. If the settings are not already set to Undergraduate Student or Graduate Student, you will need to edit your role.  Select either Undergraduate Student or Graduate Student from the displayed list.

5. Click the Set button.  Your settings are now changed.

 View your Transcript:

1. Go to myUMBC > Topics > Classes and grades.

2. Click on transcript (unofficial).
