Mikey Weinstein – head of the anti-Christian, anti-faith Military Religious Freedom Foundation – is attempting to stop the U.S. Air Force Academy from promoting a charity that helps millions of children in over 100 countries.

When Weinstein complained about an email sent by a group of students to their fellow cadets encouraging them to “provide the joy of Christmas to impoverished children around the world,” the Air Force Academy backed down and apologized.

While the Air Force Academy proudly promotes many other charities, such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Race for the Cure, and Habitat for Humanity, it apologized because this email promoted a Christian charity, Operation Christmas Child.

This anti-faith bias is outrageous and cannot be allowed to continue, especially in our military. Take action with the ACLJ by signing our letter to the Air Force Academy urging them to allow the promotion of this children’s charity and explaining that doing so is in no way unconstitutional.

By joining this letter, you will be taking a strong stand, sending a powerful message that the American people will not allow the most powerful military in the world to be bullied by anti-faith groups like this one. The Air Force Academy should not discriminate against a charity that helps provide Christmas to millions of kids because it is a Christian organization.

What is even more outrageous is that Weinstein, the leader of this anti-Christian group, called Franklin Graham of Samaritan’s Purse, which sponsors Operation Christmas Child, “a fundamentalist – a total enemy of the Constitution – an absolutely incredible Islamophobe.”

It is not the Air Force Academy, but Weinstein who should be apologizing – apologizing for trying to stop the promotion of this charity, apologizing for trying to stop cadets from helping kids in need at Christmas time.

Urge the Air Force Academy to hold true to what it proudly touts as its core values – “Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do” – by standing up to these intimidation tactics and, once again, supporting and participating in this much-needed charity.

Game 2 is coming up soon!  It will run from Monday, November 28 through Friday, December 2.  (Yes, that’s right after Thanksgiving break.)

We are still running missions every Monday and Thursday at 7 pm in Lecture Hall 2, and have started running games/practices on occasional Saturdays.  Feel free to bring friends!
