Please meet one of our new members Dr. Herana Kamal Seneviratne (Chemistry and Biochemistry) over a small-group lunch at the Skylight room!
Kamal's self-introduction:
I am a new Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. I obtained my PhD in Chemistry from Washington State University in 2017. After that, I started my fellowship (Medicine-Clinical Pharmacology) at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Currently, I also have an additional affiliation from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. My laboratory studies the chemistry of drugs, especially focusing on how drugs work in the human body. Here are my hobbies: running, hiking, roadtripping, and playing tennis. I am originally from Sri Lanka and currently my house is in Nottingham/Perry Hall (close to very nice farms). I really like Asian foods. I do not have any pets/kids and I live by myself (my parents are visiting me these days). I would like to meet new colleagues and see if we have any common interests.
