Dear AAAFSC Members:
While the pandemic keeps us from seeing one another, we still want to do our best to serve our Asian and Asian American Faculty and Staff council members and create a sense of community.
To that end, we ask that you take a few minutes to fill out the following survey [LINK TO SURVEY]. The survey has two purposes:
First, there is a question that asks you to share some information about your experiences at UMBC as faculty and staff. This information will be used to draft recommendations to improve faculty and staff retention and belonging at UMBC as part of an initiative of the newly formed Inclusion Council.
The remainder of the survey focuses on how our group can best serve our faculty and staff. We want to know what issues on campus you think we should be responding to, what AAAFSC events you are likely to attend, and what other supports we can provide.
We urge you to participate. This is a chance to make your voices heard not only within our group, but to upper administration. Please forward this survey to your colleagues and ask them to join AAAFSC. In particular, we would really like to build our participation in CNMS and COEIT and among staff. Currently, active participation in AAAFSC is very low among these sectors of the university, so please be sure to circulate this email broadly in your networks.
